  1. Yeah, perhaps something went wrong with the writing of the data or Logic is very specific about which meta it understands and which formats it accepts , but other apps can see it fine. I wrote it as both id3 and bw, ixml etc. and no love. I can definitely write it into the filename itself, but that would mean altering the file name which isn't always an option since old projects using those samples won't find the file. Keep in mind I'm doing a batch process for thousands of files as well. It also doesn't explain why the 'analysis' options indicated in the manual aren't present in the menu itself. Would also be nice to see 'delimiter' as an option as well so that the 'auto' mode isn't just based on character position. As an aside, what happened to Redmatica? Keymap did a lot of this stuff and seems nothing has really made it into Logic yet unless I've missed something.
  2. Hi there, I'm trying to read the root key from file meta (not file name) and no matter what am having no luck. I dug into the online documentation which states that there are several modes which are non-existent in reality. The link here states there are several options that don't exist: https://support.apple.com/kb/PH26965?locale=en_US&viewlocale=en_US File/Filename/Analysis Filename/File/Analysis Analysis only Despite this, I tried File only and can't get it to work. The documentation states that it finds the info from the file header, but doesn't state which meta format it uses. I've tried writing the data into id3 tags (in various fields) and as BWF description, and have tried several different syntaxes. C#3 for example. Anyone know what's up or had any success with this?
  3. Thanks Eric. What's troublesome is that it's not backwards compatible. I've submitted a bug report. @Atlas007 - There are a several reasons you might want this. For example, you may wish to use the sidechain as a modulation source and use the sound itself (or a single part/note etc.) as a source. Or, if you using a modular plugin like Reaktor, you may wish to route something out and then return it back in for additional processing, effectively using a Logic Aux channel as a 'plugin' within reaktor. 8)
  4. BUG: In Logic x multi-out instrument auxes can no longer be routed back into the instrument itself via a bus. This was possible in Logic Pro. I just tested it in Pro and in X. Works in Pro, not in X. Can someone confirm? Test Sidechain.zip
  5. I noticed the 'OSC Message Paths' in Learn Mode's expert view, though I can't seem to get it to recognize any OSC messages. Seems new, but there is barely a mention of it in the manual. Anyone know what it's about or how to get it working?? Would be great!
  6. Flexible MIDI out routing directly from AU's would have been nice. Then you could use Reaktor, Max, Plogue etc. instead. Can't really see why they they didn't go that route. What does Javascript have that makes it a better choice for MIDI out than AUs? It seems like it must have been more complex to write... Thoughts?
  7. Phew! Was getting worried...though 2013 is a long way away. Hope you're well David!
  8. wish MIDI clock out was also compensated for...
  9. This is SUPERIOR!. It has happened to me so many times; played great riff in loop mode and then i was too slow to hit spacebar (stop), and lose riff of the lifetime . try it with Take Folders for overlapping MIDI. works great...
  10. Just curious...what has a little fish got to do with Logic?
  11. nothing fancy, just thought it would be useful... these are presets for the tremolo plug-in in logic. there are two 'fake sidechain' presets meant to create an overdone sidechain compressed sound ala daft punk, justice, disco music etc...pumping 4/4 feel i also included a auto-panning preset as well... have fun Archive.zip
  12. as mentioned already it is in the Electronic Production template
  13. I got a very strange message the first time I tried to install the latest interlok extensions on SL and wanted to share for kicks. See attached image... Closing the installer and trying again solved the problem... History: According to Kevin Kelly of the New York Times, "the entire works of humankind, from the beginning of recorded history, in all languages" would amount to 50 petabytes of data.[1]
  14. Well you can't blame a company that makes plugins for not wanting to support hosts that don't exist, but I'd definitely expect Logic to be the first to update...but I'm not holding my breath! Be patient...
