  1. I have a few audio loop recordings of external devices that need a bit of sustain beyond the end of their loops. I record so there is a tail outside the looped measure, and drop the recordings into the quick sampler plugin ,set to one-shot, so they have sustain when the loop repeats. It works fine until I need to abruptly silence the loops halfway through a cycle. Is there an easy way to stop a one shot sample if I need to?
  2. Can you recommend a rack with xlr inputs preamps and discreet outputs ?
  3. Have you checked for unintentional automation on the track?
  4. I’m recording band practices using Logic on my Mac mini through a Tascam 16x08. We’re currently using the 10 inputs that have gain control knobs. The other 6 are balanced 1/4” with no gain control. I am extremely inexperienced and can’t figure out how to get good levels with this type of input. It would also be cool to have xlr inputs instead of trs. I’m trying to find a sub snake that has 6 xlr inputs and 6 trs outputs. I’m also wondering what to do if the signals are too hot. Will the Logic gain utility affect the signal as it’s recorded?
  5. A portable monitor I bought had firmware that didn’t support Big Sur and my MPC One firmware doesn’t completely coordinate with it. Those are my issues so far.
  6. I have the M1 mini. It hasn’t struggled so far. I’m not going crazy with plugins. Check out the YouTube link I gave earlier in the thread. The guy who posted it pushes and M1 MAC to its limit. It has 8 processors , 4 heavy hitters and 4 average strength. He explains a little how they divide they all share the load.
  7. I regret only getting 8 gigabytes. It would have taken a month or more to get the 16 gigabytes of RAM. It’s hardwired so there’s no way to upgrade after a purchase. It’s doing everything I ask of it so far.
  8. That’s a really good question. I don’t know. I see what your saying. It might just be the OS.
  9. The MPC is a sampler. It’s not completely supported by BIg Sur yet. I can’t connect the hardware with the computer software via USB at the moment. I can only do though midi. It’s just a pain. Not that big of a deal.
  10. I am using the M1. I’m feeling pretty good about it so far. One problem is my MPC’s software doesn’t completely work with BIg Sur yet. Another monitor I bought was unable to work with it. I’m guessing there’s a number of devices that require updates to coordinate with the new architecture. Here’s a video that might help you understand the chip better. {broken link removed}
  11. I mobile record with a Mac mini and a Ge Chic hdmi 15.6” monitor. I would love a laptop but they’re to expensive in my opinion.
  12. I went back to that session and tried other pianos and organs. The problem only happens on the church organ so far. If I figure out what I did I’ll let you know. Thank you for your assistance.
  13. It only happens on the church organ as far as I can tell.
