  1. Not that I'm as much of a pro as other people on this forum, but get them to either timestamp all their regions or consolidate every one of their tracks.
  2. I was thinking of something more along the lines of audiosuite, but this is just as good. Thanks.
  3. My roomate and I are having difficulty with some digital interferencein our setup and we haven't any clue where it's coming from. It's not anything hugely prominent so we've decided that we can work with it until we find the source. We'd rather not eq or gate it out as that could mess with the mix. It has, however, occured to me that we could take advantage of phase cancellation to temporarily work around this pest. I seem to remember baing able to do something similar in Soundtrack or Peak (can't remember which one) to clean up production audio dialog tracks. I would like to know if this is at all possible with Logic, and if so how is it done?
  4. Oh. Lord! Prepare to bash you head against walls repeatedly. My roomate got one of these and we spent forever trying to figure out how to get it working. I'm pretty sure you can't set this thing up in the Control Surfaces preference. We found an environment (on Behringer's website I think) that we based an aoutoload around. It was buggy as hell! The play button didn't work but the stop button sure did, and and the BCF's fader's would sometimes skip tracks. I eventually had to do a system restore and reinstall Logic (for other reasons). I opened Logic for the first time and VOILA: It worked. Perfectly. No BCF environment, no Control Surface Setup, nothing. I still don't know how it worked, but I'm definitely not messing with a good thing. I wish you much luck on this particular endeavour.
  5. Logic doesn't make a copy of audio files you import into the audio folder for itself like PT does. You'll have to use control f (in the arrange) after importing or you'll find yourself editing the original file. Also option drag for copying regions instead of using apple-c and apple-v. Because they'll all represent the same file otherwise. Copying one region multiple times and editing it only to find that ALL the regions have changed is nothing short of frustrating.
  6. Cannot...live...without...aggregate...device...editor... I have a roomate. We have multiple interfaces and this handy little Tiger feature makes life not entirely frustrating. I just wish I could stick my MBox in there too.
  7. This is isn't for DVD-audio but.. DVD studio pro comes with a tool called compressor which you can use to take your 5.1 bounce and create a surround file.
  8. That is supremely cool! I have DVD Studio Pro and would kill for that deal. I just don't have $200 disposable finances at the moment. Is this a limited time offer?
  9. I had my dock like that until yesterday. It makes for extremely convenient positioning.
  10. Why would Apple need to learn another company's code base? Wouldn't they have Emagic's original programmers on staff?
  11. I know it might be a retarded question, but can you use a regular DI as a sort of getto Re-Amp box? I seem to remember someone explaining them as being practically the same thing.
  12. Is there anyone out there who uses Logic for Audio Post and sound design purposes? I'm just curious about how you guys would go about it.
  13. I tried this with Bias Peak, however whenever I save the file and return to Logic the waveform isn't updated in the arrange, audio, or sample edit windows. Furthermore, I am given an error code -39 on playback.
