  1. my brother, when not playing, never hit a single 'bad' note...
  2. i saw that too, but have just ignored it. still, it's a good question: why does this happen? is it intentional, or a bug...?
  3. my brother had a rhodes electric piano, hooked up to an mxr phase shifter pedal, plugged into an 'acoustic' amp.. with a high frequency horn at (!) ear level. he'd turn the treble up on the piano, and on the amp... then hit the brightness switch on the amp. that rhodes sound could cut thru anything, and that phasey hiss sound was amazing (especially when he wasn't playing the rhodes). if i'd smoked weed as a kid 🤪, i would have sat in front of that amp and just listened to the phasing hiss (which i did, in fact, do). viva noise!
  4. guess it depends on which synth (except for an occasional use of alchemy, all mine are 3rd-party). most of them have a 'user presets' folder. plus, i name a file after the project name; if my project's name is 'dog', i save the preset as 'dog' (or 'dog1, dog2' etc), and easy to find if ever needed. also, if it is all in one presets folder, you can add a space in front of the name you save; that should put it at the top.
  5. just a thought; should the OP consider updating logic to 10.4.7? that's the final version of LP 10.4, and, since the problem started with the OS update, it might help (of course, a newer logic might help too). am headed out, will let david sort this out (he's one of the logic gods here)...
  6. just another idea: when i create (or modify) a preset in any synth that's specific to a project, i save it in that synths user presets (ie from the synth's GUI itself). easy to find (altho i've never lost my presets within a project), and easy to get to if i wanted to use it elsewhere. just (to me) seems a lot simpler (but i also prefer package saves to folder saves)...
  7. i was going to wait 52 minutes, then i thought 'nah, fuzzfilth & david don't know about this sort of thing'. how wrong i was (wrong; yes, there's a first time for everything)...
  8. thanks (tried them all, went with a pedalboard one)...
  9. i'm sorry... what's going on here? that is definitely a real cow. i should know, i've seen pictures of real cows...
  10. ok, but if they don't work, check out some other developer's plugins. because this thread suggests you're not having fun right now. also what des99 said above...
  11. find alternative plugins to the ones you wanted to check out? not sure your newer logic projects will open in the older version (anyone want to confirm this?). anyway if it were me, at this point i'd explore other plugins...
  12. one of my collabs is on logic 10.7.4, and says she's having no issues running waves v13. obvious question, but have you rebooted? you could move the AU cache file to the desktop, reopen logic, rebuild the cache, see if that helps...
  13. ah, got it. your topic says '2.1 stereo monitoring', but your post does reference 7.1...
  14. not sure i'm getting this. i have my eve-audio monitors connected to a sub.... the sub handles the lowest frequencies by default, the monitors handle everything above that. nothing i had to configure in logic, and works for any audio (ie with quicktime, spotify, etc). check your routing between your monitors and the sub...
