Crash when audio editing

This is really poor. Every time I try to trim a piece of audio by dragging in from the left corner, Logic crashes. I've recently updated the OSX to Mojave and hadn't experienced this problem before. Anyone have any info on this?
Cheers,
Crabbi.

Re: Macbook speakers for monitoring

Hi, thanks, I have AKG's too, (K712's) but I can't stay with headphones on for hours at a time.

Macbook speakers for monitoring

Hi, Any tips on small, fairly flat response monitors to use via a Macbook? I say 'fairly' as being compact and connecting via the headphone output they won't be ideal & I won't ultimately be doing final mixes off my laptop but would appreciate advice on the best speakers for monitoring-as-you-go...

Re: Mid-2018 Macbook Pros

Been waiting for this new arrival, but has anyone tested the new 2018 MacBook Pro with Logic? Although the spec sounds great on paper, I have read of problems already, concerning thermal issues which are 'throttling' CPU performance. https://www.kitguru.net/lifestyle/mobile/apple/damien-cox/apples-l...

Re: Mono speaker recommendations for laptop

Just so I can switch from phones, (giving me full lush stereo effect), to mono which gets heard in all kinds of compromised situations (tv, small radio, pub/club etc).

Re: Mono speaker recommendations for laptop

One physical object that would convert a stereo signal to mono. (Though I can set output to mono from within logic, I think ?). That speaker has pretty good reviews, trying to decipher it's a flat-response sound though....thanks.

Mono speaker recommendations for laptop

Hi, I want to get as close as I can to mixing on the go using my Macbook Pro. I have AKG K712 headphones to check the stereo image, but also need an active mono monitor to run directly off my laptop. It needs to be portable, flat response / true representation, though for a small speaker I'm guessin...

My recommendation based on performance/price ratio is to get a regular consumer SSD from Crucial or Samsung and use it in one of your internal SATA ports.

Thanks very much!

Re: USB 3.0 adapter card

Thanks everyone. So my best bet would be to get a PCIe USB 3.0 card and run my songs/audio from a reasonably fast external hard drive?

Re: USB 3.0 adapter card

Set up as follows: Mac Pro (Mid 2010) 2 x 2.66 GHz 6-Core Intel Xeon 6 GB 1333 MHz DDR3 ECC Logic X on OSX Yosemite version 10.10.5 Yes, I have 3 other internal drives which are used for storage/back up. I don't think they are particularly high performance, but not necessarily 'green' either. 2 are ...

Re: USB 3.0 adapter card

Thanks for the reply. I'm not sure on the speeds, but on my travels I recently used a Seagate expansion external hard drive (USB 2.0) with my Macbook Pro & it ran like a dream compared to my Mac Pro at home which sometimes stutters to a halt when the CPU is overloaded. I figured running the Logi...

USB 3.0 adapter card

Hi, does anyone here have experience (good or bad) of using a USB 3.0 adapter card with an external hard drive for Logic purposes? I have a Mac Pro Mid 2010 which isn't the fastest and I'm looking for faster transfer speeds.
Thanks.

Take folder menu options [SOLVED]

This is driving me nuts. When I click the take number on a take folder on my Mac Pro, I get the extended menu which allows me to create/move/export/unpack. However when I do the same thing on my Macbook Pro I get a shortened menu (see attachment) which doesn't have the options I'm looking for. Anybo...

Re: "project" vs "folder" systems

I'm new to Pro X & am struggling with how to save also. The way I'm used to working in L9 is: first save project with all sub folders in. Then each time the song makes a significant change, save just the 'song' only. So, if I change the bass sound I call my song 'Graham Song 2 bass sound'. If I ...

Re: Strip Silence "Greyed" Out [SOLVED]

I have the 'greyed out' strip silence problem too, in Pro X. it's nothing to do with flattening out though, as it's greyed out for every audio track I select. Any clues anyone?
