Re: Cut Silent Part @ End of Clip

The best way is to mark a cycle range for the bounce.
Otherwise Logic will go to the end of the song on the bounce.

Re: Cut Silent Part @ End of Clip

Make sure "Include Audio tail" is unchecked.
This usually happens with mp3 bounces.
If you use AAC bounces instead, which is better compression than mp3, this doesn't happen.

I got the Apollo because of the whole package of hardware plus their plugin universe.

I've not heard of Rosetta - no other tutorials I've looked up mentioned it.

Rosetta is meant for the new M1 Apple chip's compatibility with programs that aren't native, but since you have an Intel chip, it does not apply.
So it must be the driver for the Steinberg.

Re: dBFS Audio Clipping ???

It all depends on the level of compression you're already applying to the mix.
You can be peaking at -3 but have a very dynamic mix.
Or you can be peaking at -6 but have very compressed mix.
What's your LUFS value on the Multimeter?

I suppose replacing the battery should do the trick but what do you guys think?

That's a battery with dangerously swollen cells.
You should replace the battery asap to avoid damage to the laptop or to you!

You can get replacements from ifixt.com and macsales.com

Probably corrupt preferences.
You can try top menu:
Logic - Preferences - Reset all preferences except key commands

Alert!!
Big no-no for Logic. Ex-Fat is a Windows format.
Reformat them to APFS if they are SSDs.
Remember a reformat erases everything.

The metering is responding to my guitar playing. You are seeing the metered representation of the decayed Signal

That is incorrect, the meters in Logic always store the peak value in numbers above the meters.
So if you strum hard, the meter would have said -10dB even with a decaying level.

Different instruments, mics, and interfaces all have the same result. It must be something in Logic.

Your input is pretty low, meters are reading -35dB on the track.
Put a gain plugin on it, crank 15 dB and check what it recorded.

I had read that it can be detrimental to put plug ins on the Stereo channel,

Depends if you put 3 or 4, like I do, or 20 plugins, which obviously is exaggerated.
It's usually a good idea to separate your mix into groups, and then each one gets an aux, which then feed the stereo out.

Start muting tracks until you don't hear it anymore. Then you can work backwards and pinpoint the culprit.

Good idea. You can use the File - Project - Consolidate (include audio files) function before you send it to the other computer.
It's a good habit to see what any computer does when you save a project.

I don't think so, as the Takes are just the arbitrary position of the Locators with no relation to the music that has been played.

Oh well :?
