Re: Screen Sets Import.

There was a screenset import facility in earlier versions of Logic. I'm not near Logic atm so I can't confirm if it is still there. It allowed you to import Screensets and various project settings from any song on file to your current project. It used to be very flakey when importing several setting...

Re: Removing Pedal symbol on score Topic is solved

A quick way of doing it is to open the Event List (Cmd-7). Then click on a Sustain event (Ctrl 64) they're marked as Sustain in the Length/Info column. Select Similar (Shft-S) this will select all the pedal events, both on and off. Then edit channel number by clicking and holding on the number in th...

Re: Audio Event List per track ?

- Set the target project to the same tempo as the source project by using a second tempo set - Import the track from the source project - SMPTE-lock the imported regions - Restore the original tempo set I don't need this at the moment but I'm making a note of it for the day that I will need it. Tha...

Re: How do I hide sustain pedal in score [SOLVED]

Yes, the Event List is the way to go. The way that Frances O has described it is exactly how I do it.

PS it's great to see that people are still finding this post useful after all these years.

@triplets:
Oh I will, I'm looking forward to getting to grips with it.
@djecaron16:
The one I bought does, my Crucial memory modules are being shipped. You can check the product information on the Apple website to be sure.

Re: New iMac arrived - Joy didn't last long

@Christian Oh I know it's a great machine. It is precisely what I budgeted for and ordered. I had planned on it serving me for the next 5 years (anything beyond is the cherry on top). At that point I figured we would see how the Apple Chip Macs are doing (or whatever is the next thing in 5 years tim...

New iMac arrived - Joy didn't last long

My new 27" iMac arrived today, I had ordered it less than a week ago. 8-core i9 processor (9th generation), 2TB SSD drive. Fantastic piece of kit. I unpacked and set it up. Grand. I opened the Apple website on it and what do I find? A brand new 10th generation iMac is now for sale. I put in the...

Re: Negative Harmony

Alan's comment should have been a clue to me, but he was brief enough that it didn't click at the time. Apologies for my brevity, though in fairness I was responding directly to Erik and I assumed he would respond to the video in exactly the same way that I did. I came across the video when it firs...

That was my last suggestion, I couldn't think of anything else to try. I am really glad that it worked out for you.

Re: No signal from my guitar - why Topic is solved

Are you sure that input 1 is the guitar input on your interface not input 2?

Re: No signal from my guitar - why Topic is solved

I'll start with the obvious first: 1 the Guitar/Line switch is set to guitar. 2 when you play you are registering a signal on the Fast Track input indicator light. I imagine this is the case as you say you can hear the guitar through the head phones but let's cover all bases. Now go to Logic Pro X >...

Re: 10.5 DMD - Choke / Polyphony between pads?

You mean hi hat mode? I did this recently (for hi hats strangely enough) but I am far away from Logic at the moment and can't recall the exact steps I used. IIRC you assign the pads in question to an exclusive group. Right click a pad and see if you get the option to assign it to an exclusive group....

Re: Control Surface Noob - it's not doing anything..!

Could well be the USB cable, not all USB cables are equal, some are missing connections that are not used is many applications, but that are used in the case of certain MIDI controllers... I have to say Erik, I had no idea about that. I am making a note of this in case I run into any issues at some...

Re: D mode in chorus effect

IIRC I think that the D-Mode was meant to emulate the Roland Dimension D.
You could look that up if you wanted some information on the idea behind it.
Sorry for the 'google it' response but I think in this case it might be your best bet.

iZotope updates for LP 10.5 available now.

If you've been waiting, as I have, for iZotope to update Insight2, Vocal Doubler and VocalSynth 2, they're available now on the Product Portal.
I am in the process of downloading now.
