Make sure you check with vsl, I believe they are still saying they are not ready for Big Sur yet.

Nope, Paul Kopf said, "Our software works fine on Big Sur. "

I am in the minority perhaps but I think the best speakers for listening are generally not as flat as studio monitors, instead emphasizing some frequencies that sweeten the sound.

Re: score editor - repeat signs don't overwrite rests

Does anyone know how I can hide or delete rests when adding repeat slashes in the score editor? I would have expected a repeat slash would replace any rest of the same duration, but instead they just sit on top of the rests and look awful. Screenshot 2021-01-03 at 14.06.08.png You probably are usin...

Re: Logic Drummer and Smart tempo correct starting point. Topic is solved

Sorry I just saw your question. I still haven't been able to resolve recording both an audio track and midi at the same time in ADAPT mode, however I did figure out a work around that achieved the same end result. It's been months since I tried it so I don't remember the exact steps, but basically ...

No such thing, it’s all about it pairs with each voice. For me the EV RE-20 has always worked well.

Re: Logic Pro X Sampler Legato issue

Logic's Sampler, previously EXS24, does not and never has supported "true legato" which is another term for recorded legato intervals.

Which Macs? As far as I'm aware, any Mac that can *genuinely* run Catalina, should be able to run Big Sur.

Nope. My 2013 iMac, which is now my wife’s, legitimately runs Catalina but would need a hack to run Big Sur.

Re: MacMini M1 Logic Benchmark results (strange)

I’m more reliant on my mix chain than synths at the moment. FabFilter, Waves, iZotope and Melodyne. Don’t suppose you known anything about how prepared those developers are? I've seen videos of people using the first three fine under Rosetta. I have a M1 mac mini arriving today so I'm gonna be test...

Re: Unsure about choosing my first MBP for Logic Pro X

I see Jay's point, however I personally enjoy my MacBook even though I use it mostly as a desktop machine and don't travel anymore (who does nowadays). I do enjoy that I can take it to any room in the house, in the kitchen to read a recipe, in the bedroom to watch a movie, give it to the kids so th...

Re: Unsure about choosing my first MBP for Logic Pro X

First thing I find that people do not ask themselves that they should is “do I really need the portability a laptop gives me?” Instead they buy a laptop because their friends have laptops. You are going to pay more for less power and/or screen real estate. That’s a fact. For those who absolutely nee...

Re: Articulation Sets Topic is solved

Well you can by building a multi with individual instruments loaded in it assigned to discrete MIDI channels, as I have done for the entire EastWest Hollywood Orchestra. E.g Hollywood Strings 1st Violin: Legato Slur on MIDI channel 1, Portqto on MIDI channel 2, MOD Shorts on MIDI channel 3, Pizzicat...

ha ok. but some of us like to continue to live like that; taking chances doesn't have to mean being juvenile, it can be a desire to see what the outcome is. i live for those adventures.

Re: Big Sur: Is it safe to update for Logic users?

I have received emails from Universal Audio, Antares, Native Instruments, EastWesr, Eventide, and Softtube saying “please wait.” me too, but most of these (antares, softube, eventide) work anyway :D In the past, when that is the case, they work but are erratic. When a developer says “don’t “ , I don...
