Re: Logic Pro window NOT showing up! Urgent!

this still happens just randomly for me,( 10.6.3) when I open up LP. its so annoying. not like I ever selected to hide main window. there should be at least something that says 'your main window is hidden, click here to show' The behavior is not random, it occurs when you try to close the session b...

Re: Audio Plays for 5 seconds then completely cuts out

Should I try uninstalling and reinstalling logic? No, if your computer doesn't have enough resources to handle the current project, reinstalling Logic won't change a thing. You need to figure out which resources are taxed more (use the CPU and HD monitor in Logic's custom control bar) and take appr...

Re: Slowing BPM controlled and gradually on an audio region

An alternative method:

1. Chop up the regions you want to work with,
2. Turn Flex on only on that track.
3. Set your Drag mode to Shuffle Left.
4. Click-hold the lower-right corner of a region, press and hold down the Option key and drag to stretch.

Have you asked them if you can do a free trial? Apparently you can just download the app so perhaps there's a free trial time included. Let us know if you end up trying it out. I would love to hear if that works. :)

Re: Editing/Setting to Grid, workflow suggestions

Also make sure you check the transient marker positions in the first place (in the audio file editor) to avoid weird artifacts when you start moving your flex markers:

Re: Did I buy the wrong book?

I'm using Logic Pro X 10.6. I just purchased Apple Pro Training Series: Logic Pro X 10.5 through the recent promotion. Did I buy the wrong book? Can I get the 10.6 book instead or as well without making a new purchase? des99 is correct, 10.6 was basically a maintenance update, my 10.5 book still wo...

Or open the Mixer and choose Edit > Mixer Undo.

Or assign your favorite key command to "Mixer Undo" in Logic Pro > Key Commands > Edit.

Re: How to make Fader object visible outside the environment? Topic is solved

Oh and to make sure the fader stays put, before you resize the window, make sure the link button is off. You may want to put the fader in a layer of its own in the environment so any other work you do in other layers doesn't affect its position.

Re: How to make Fader object visible outside the environment? Topic is solved

You can see the fader only in the environment window.

However you can open a small environment window in a screenset, choose View > Frameless Floating Window, and resize the window to show only the fader. Then lock that as a screenset:

Re: Can different midi sliders control different tracks? Topic is solved

Make sure you select another track first (not the one you're assigning), as des99 suggested! Then learn your assignment on the unselected track in the Mixer.

Re: Can different midi sliders control different tracks? Topic is solved

You can edit the assignment to target different channel strips directly, or simply enable learn mode without the track you are learning selected at the time of the assignment. Just press Command-L, click the fader, move a fader on your controller, repeat for as many faders as you want, and close th...

Re: Difference in true peak on left and right channels

Should I place a gain, add dB and set the direction to left so that the Goniometer stays in the middle and equally distributes? No. Use a dual mono plug-in as suggested by Fuzzfilth. A dual mono inserted on a stereo track gives you individual gain control for each channel. Note that adjusting the r...

Re: SMPTE lock is not working as expected

Thanks. I tried that, but it does not work. The tracks change tempo (oddly not matching the new project tempo) If you have SMPTE lock ON and Flex OFF then you should be able to change the project tempo as much as you want and your audio tracks shouldn't be affected. They may change visually but pre...

Are the two violins on independent MIDI channels? Do you use a polyphonic score style? Feel free to attach a screenshot of what you're seeing so far:
