Re: Transferring from DAT Topic is solved

I guess the bit I don't get is that, as the UFX has taken the data from the DAT at the correct sample rate, what's determining the clocking in Logic, if indeed that's relevant. Maybe it's not. Sorry if I'm being a bit dense here but in an AtoD situation, I don't need to set the sample rate separate...

Is there a way to have MIDI Chase only send the CC# messages that are in the current region that I set the playhead over?

No, that's not possible.

Re: "Save as" without copying assets, is it possible? Topic is solved

I want to delete the files for regions I removed, and therefore select Project Management->Clean Up... and check Delete Unused Files. I get no dialog after that, and it haven't deleted any files. However, if I afterwards select Edit->Select Unused in the file browser, it selects 176 files. Contradi...

Sorry, I don't get this. Still today, when I choose Save As and uncheck copy Audio files, why does Logic still copy the audio files? And how do I prevent it?

Are you saving as a folder? Package?

Well that solution works only if you don't happen to change tempo JUST before tea time.

Re: Copying Automation From One Parameter to Another

In Automation view, display the tremolo parameter, hold down the Option or Command key while you click the automation parameter pop-up menu and choose Volume. An alert will ask you if you wish to convert or copy+convert the former parameter into the latter.

Re: What MIDI CC numbers can I use in Logic

Thanks David - so I am free to use any midi controller I want (noted about some of the very common ones like CC1 of course). Yes exactly. And nothing is set in stone, for example some instruments may use Expression for something else, or use modulation (CC#1) for expression, or not use it at all, l...

Re: What MIDI CC numbers can I use in Logic

I have no idea if I can use these numbers freely or if I have to be very careful to avoid ones that are already assigned. You are free to use whatever MIDI CC numbers, and instruments (and their patches) are free to determine how they interpret each one, even if there are some standards (that instr...

See: How to attach files to your post

As for tempo markers, I don't believe you can remove them however they should not affect the playback of your audio unless you start actually performing flex edits? I'll wait to see your image.

Re: Issue with MIDI Chase and multiple CC messages in the event list

I'm not entirely sure I'm following. Chase should send all CC events at their current value. So if you have, for example, CC#35 value=60 at bar 5 and CC#43 value=80 at bar 10 and you start playback at bar 15, then both the CC#35 (60) and CC#43 (80) events are sent. I just checked and it works as exp...

Re: Pan Law and Recording

Just realized that when a track is record enabled logic pro bypasses the panlaw The pan law is not bypassed, however it does not affect the recording (or the recording level). When a track is record enabled, its meters display the recording level. The pan law is applied only for monitoring and play...

Re: Real Time Piano Transposition

I did everything you said but it's not working. Maybe they changed it since then? I clicked Show Default Values , but it still will only let me transpose in octaves. I'm playing with my church band and they change the key to the songs a lot, which makes it very confusing when I can't transpose anyt...

Yes, it does sound like what the OP is looking for, if each region contains an individual drum hit.

Re: Logic Pro Project File Size HUGE

I did a quick bounce of my digital Arturia synths and saved the session under a new name (save as...). Made the Logic x project file size drop from 3,12 GB to 9 MB! Was the 3.12 GB project a package that you then saved as a folder? EDIT: Never mind, I see this issue is related to the use of Arturia...
