Re: save a preset for audio and midi

Create the desired type of track, insert the desired plug-in, click "Save" at the bottom right of the Library. Next, control-click the saved setting in the library and choose "Define as default."

I hope it is possible to force them to position themselves on the start cycle.

You'd have to quantize the entire region. For example by clicking the background (making sure no regions are selected) and in the "MIDI Thru" Region inspector, choosing the desired quantize setting.

Re: transposing mp3 file

mp3 is a playback (distribution) format, not a production format. Try this:  ⋅ Set the output of the track where you have your mp3 to a bus.  ⋅  Create a new audio track with that bus as an input.  ⋅  R-enable the new audio track and re-record the mp3 onto the new track...

Re: How do I change where the beat starts in the middle of a project?

Is there a way to set a downbeat in a project regardless of what the current beat is, halfway through the project? No. You'd have to somehow change the tempo of a beat or two or a bar or some section in order to manipulate the grid so that a beat ends up at the precise location you want. The easies...

Re: Pitch bend center position out of tune after performing a pitch bend up (or down) Topic is solved

Hi Strat, I'm having weird pitchbend issues too. Under the piano roll editor when I select pitch bend view there is no bend information visible but in the Event list, they show up? It's been driving me nuts, I would be playing an instrument and it will suddenly pitch up 50 cents with no controller ...

Re: Record between loop-cycle & stop at end

Another way to Autopunch, without using the Cycle area, is to select the desired section on a track (wether regions are present or not) with the Marquee tool, then press record.

It should be possible. What do you mean by XY pad exactly, is it a hardware controller? Which one?

Instead of dragging the top part of the take folder, open the take folder, and resize the desired take (make sure you first get out of quick swipe comp mode and into edit mode):

This plug-in https://www.sonalksis.com/stereotools.html has a 'zero width below (freq)' knob.

Re: Bussing St Out

There can be many, many reasons. Here's one other example. If I'm sub mixing tracks (for example all the individual drums, or all the individual backup vocals) then I'll set their outputs to a bus. Then if I want to process the individual tracks with reverbs I'll send them to a reverb bus. Like this...

Re: Only Bouncing Buses

A screenshot of your entire Mixer showing the inputs, sends and outputs of every channel strips would be helpful in understanding your complete signal routing.
