Re: Convert to EXS24 sampler track question

I can't think of an easy way to do it once the EXS24 instrument is already created. Otherwise before creating the instrument you can slice the region at Transient Markers. Then, convert the regions to new audio files. Then select all the slices, and in the "Convert Regions to New Sampler Track&...

Re: Davids LOGIC book question again

I mean in this case you just choose the new key from the menu that appears. That menu contains all major and minor keys so in this case, if my memory is correct and the song is in B minor, then you just choose B minor from the menu, no need to click.

Any other questions feel free to ask here!

Whats changed!?

Logic changed how you select key signatures in 10.3 – the new 10.3 behavior is reflected in my new 10.3 book.

Re: How to solo (and hear) AUX fed by stacked tracks?

I can verify this. Seems like a bug to me. As a workaround, you can make the bus send pre-fader, if that works for your current signal flow.

Re: Slow down midi but not audio Topic is solved

Go into Flex view and make sure that the Flex button is turned off in the vocal track header. You can also select the vocal region and make sure Flex or Follow Tempo is turned off in the Region inspector.

Re: UPGRADE

Open the App store app, and see if you can find the 10.3.1 update either under the 'Updates' tab, or under the 'Purchased' tab?

The style used by this forum does not support drag and drop.

Re: Hi just switched from Ableton and have some questions

⋅ Insert your stereo instrument in the instrument slot.  ⋅ Hold down Option as you insert a mono plug-in as the last plug-in in the Audio FX section. If you don't know what to use, insert Utility > Gain > Mono.  ⋅ Bounce in Place and make sure "Bypass Effects"...

Re: View drum kit names in piano roll missing

Eric is talking about when you choose Instrument > Key Labels (in the EXS24 Instrument Editor) to give that instrument Drum Names to appear in the Piano Roll.

Re: Change Tempo Of Individual Regions Independant of Project BPM Lke Audacity?

No I wasn't thinking of an Apple Loop, but what I was thinking is, if I give you a recording that is exactly 2 bars long, then you know the audio region in Logic should be 2 bars long, so it's just a matter of stretching it manually until the help tag reads Length = 2 0 0 0.

Re: Logic Mono to Stereo Plugin Problem

Cool, I just wanted to make sure you weren't confused about what the button actually does! :D

Could be that plug-in you're using. Have you tried one of Logic's stock plug-ins in mono->stereo format?

I wonder if the Mapped Instrument object from the Environment, could be of any help here?

Yes, in fact they allow you to define whatever names you want, you just have to type them in.

Re: Selection based processing/waves tune

That's odd because I always assumed SbP used BIP within some sort of script.... so not sure why one would work but not the other. :( Here's an alternate workflow: ⋅ Duplicate the track (Command-D). ⋅ Insert Tune on the dupe track. ⋅ Use the Marquee to select the section...

Re: V Key Command

Yup. And FWIW it was a downer for me too the first time I used the V key command and later inserted a new plug-in. BOOM all your plug-ins re-open. You just have to tweak the one you want and press V again. Or choose another workflow (I now use Command-W to close plug-in windows).

Re: Change Tempo Of Individual Regions Independant of Project BPM Lke Audacity?

There's no way to say "this file is 110 and I want it to play at 120" - not as far as I know. If the files is, however, musically exactly 2 bars long for example, then it's just a matter of stretching it so it's exactly 2 bars long in your 120 project. Are those drums? A loop? Something th...

No. You're just changing the length of the region. If you describe what you want to do, maybe I can better understand.
