Re: Split MIDI Keyboard for two different software instruments Topic is solved

0k. I have tried that and had also to Transpose the second Instrument to -32 to put it on the top keys. So I now have a normal Piano from C2 to key B4 then a trumpet from C5 to G8. They are now easy to control in the Summing Stack as suggested. Did I go about this correctly? Sounds like it, especia...

I need to do any splitting in Logic. My keyboard has no ability to be split on its own. So David, do I define these under Key Limit in the Track Inspector?

Yes!

Re: Split MIDI Keyboard for two different software instruments Topic is solved

It depends on the keyboard, or how you want to tackle it. An easy way is to leave the keyboard alone, and in Logic, adjust the Key Range parameters in both tracks' inspectors. Then you have to R-enable both trakcs, or better: pack them in a summing stack and R-enable the summing stack.

Seems like something so simple I'm overlooking it...please help! Thanks Look under Logic Pro > Preferences > Audio > Editin...

By the way one thing you can do is click the "hamburger menu" (the three horizontal lines symbol) at the top left of the forum pages and choose "Your Posts" to see all your posts and quickly find something you just posted. :)

I did not disappear, it's still there, a little lower on the list of posts on the main page.

Re: Two Versions of LPX?

Does this still apply on 10.7.1 on an ARM Mac? Can I run 10.7.1 and then 10.6.3 in Rosetta for instance? 10.7.1 is so slow to startup (both rosetta and native) and then to work in compared to 10.6.3. Yes, you can have multiple versions of Logic on your Mac and run one at a time. No need for Rosetta...

Yeah that looks alright what if you listen to a stereo apple loop from the loop browser for example, you can hear that alright in both ears?

Re: Atmos doesn't seem to work.

I meant the Level Meter plug-in placed after the Atmos plug-in. It should have only L and R signal.

It's a safety limiter plug-in to avoid this white noise blast issue tearing your ears out: 10.7.1 - Does Ice9 (Cerberus Safety Limiter) work?

Re: Atmos doesn't seem to work.

When you press play in Logic, for example in the "Chorus 1" section, do you see two meters light up on the Master channel strip in the Inspector? If you open the Level Meter plug-in, do you see activity on the "L" and "R" meters?

Did you change anything at all? Or did you just open the Spatial Audio template and press play?

Yes, choose File > New from Template and in the "Demo Projects" category you'll find Lil Nas X - MONTERO Spatial Audio as well as a Spatial Audio Demo Grid.

Re: Tracks Louder When Soloed

I have a rule of thumb, for what it's worth, that as much as possible, in my Mixer, toggling any plug-in off and on should not result in a drastic change in perceived loudness.
