Re: Contacting Logic ... no luck :(

There are various ways it could be approached from a GUI perspective, which is the part that I would consider to be the most complicated, more so than the actual audio engine. Yes we agree: the audio engine comment was for a feature based on partial measures or something kinda like "chunks&quo...

Re: No gain out of SM58

Indeed it does sound like a handclap. Depending on the pieces of wood you're using it's tough to make it identifiable as wood. Perhaps use a different type of wood, larger pieces, or smack them together in a different way? However there's nothing wrong with the mic, or the gain of the recording.

Re: No gain out of SM58

My knee had a bit of a difference of opinion with a chainsaw over the weekend but all stitched and good to go. UGH! Sorry to hear. Sounds pretty bad. :( Heres the Rode NT3 recording. I don't find it sounds like I thought it should If it's you singing into the mic then you're right, it shouldn't sou...

Re: Contacting Logic ... no luck :(

Would it though? You don’t need partial measures you just need a meter change that lasts for a bar or two. The engine already supports this Yes it does. If changing meters and tempo for a bar or two is your solution, then there's no need for an overhaul. But then in that case, how do you propose Lo...

Re: 'Boring' Logic Wish List!

Allow use of the Marquee Tool when editing automation in the Piano Roll (you can already use it when editing the exact same automation in the Tracks area, and it's really useful!). Yes! I completely agree. Sorely missed. In fact, a Marquee tool in the Piano Roll would be welcomed, for example to se...

Gr, Jeroen

You may have to install controller software for your device. Why do you want the key command assignments on MIDI Channel 10 if your keyboard sends on Channel 1?

Re: Logic & VEPro 7 advise needed

Now to answer your question yes, that's a great solution and perfectly reasonable to create a template where each track is routed to a different instrument. It avoids many painful workarounds for dealing with automation and multi-timbral/multi-output instruments that are a bit convoluted as your tem...

Re: How assigning Key commands through different MIDI channel

In my Key Commands / Assignments column all my assignments are send through MIDI channel 1. I'd like them to be sent through MIDI channel 10. When you click Learn New Assignment in the Key Commands window, whatever MIDI event sent from your keyboard to Logic is assigned to the selected key command....

Indeed it should find them. What instrument is that? Is there a way that you could share it or that we could download it to test it for ourselves?

Re: Logic Pro 10.5 - Auto adjusting gain ???

This problem was occurring when I was dragging and dropping loops into the tracks area from a Finder window. I think there was an issue between Logic automatically reading the files as Apple Loops and then automatically Flexing and levelling the audio. Where the files are dragged and dropped from L...

Re: Contacting Logic ... no luck :(

I don't particularly think the whole guts of LogicPro would have to change for this. (it might in order to support a chunks type of feature, but that is a seperate topic). That's what I meant when I was hinting at a complete overhaul of the audio engine: a possibility to have partial measures, to h...

I've had similar problems when waking up the mac from sleep, so I simply set it to never sleep and haven't had the problem since... I have also had this kind of issues (and others) when letting my Mac go to sleep. However, while for many years, I've always set up my Macs and attached disks to never...

Re: Scripter Plugin on an Instrument Track causes the Freeze "source only" to malfunction heavily

Hello, It's in my orchestral template which is way too large to attach here, but I'll see if I can do a reduced version with the same routing settings. I'll get back as soon as I can. Yes, my idea is, save a copy of your template, then start removing a bunch of tracks at once to quickly reduce it t...

Can you share a screenshot of your Mixer routing during playback so that we can see the level on the meters, so that we have a visual of what you're describing?
