Re: Crossfade bug Topic is solved

Great, thanks for letting us know what it was. That's a typical issue and unfortunately there's no easy way to spot it visually. It would be nice if a solution was created that would allow one to be able to somehow see the waveform of the region from the crossfade start to the right-region start an...

Re: Crossfade bug Topic is solved

I figured it out, it's a yes and no to your question. It happened to a point, but as I shortened it zoomed in more I realized the crossfade indeed WAS too big, but not in the sense of a crossfade length generally having limits, but it caught the right edge of the second region. As soon as I made it ...

Re: Crossfade bug Topic is solved

You questioning my crossfade? :D Crossfade length doesn’t have anything to do with how the feature works (should work).
(In case you didn’t know, you can use it for other things than just making glitchless marriages between two regions; in this case I’m shortening an 8 bar build-up to 4 bars.)

Crossfade bug Topic is solved

Did a search, but didn’t see this one, but other crossfade bugs, mainly related to comping ie. take folders. This one is regular crossfade, two audio regions one after the other on an audio track and starts ramping up the following region only when the xfade starts. Please check the video. Anyone el...

Re: For distributing music online: 44.1 kHz or 48kHz?

I'm not sure what Spotify are doing or how they are doing it, but for me, I'd probably want to at least take charge of the process, rather than expect some third-party company would treat my material with the appropriate respect. So, if you are dead keen to record at 48, then do so. If you're then ...

Re: 10.5.1 is out.

Unfortunately I don't believe there is such a key command. :( Damn. Would speed up my fine-tuning workflow 10x. Sending a feature request. QS is just SO amazing: having the lightning fast access to samples in every way as flexed MIDI is awesome! It’s not like you couldn’t do similar stuff before, b...

Re: 10.5.1 is out.

Read the Quick Sampler documentation, but couldn't find this: Can you assign a key command to QS prev/next slice? I want to be and remain very much zoomed-in and correct what the auto-slicing got a bit off and not zoom out and back in to the next slice, but to just jump to it, and do the fix, jump t...

Re: Logic Pro X - What's new in 10.5

i do command-S constantly as well, habit. and consciously after creating any new, important parts Auto-save doesn’t work for you, or you don’t trust it? I don’t <command+s> anymore, other than in the end of my session and I haven’t lost anything significant in a couple of years now, auto-save catch...

I have a custom built Power Mac... . A power mac?... Most likely he just misspoke a little here, meaning Mac Pro cheesegrater, which would fit, and also be fitting to think that it should be able to run Mojave or Catalina and Logic, as there easily can be enough juice for that especially in a custo...

Re: Next Logic accidental preview?

Pardon me for responding, but not having input to the original post... But is there, or could we have a '+1', 'thumbs up' or similar feature here per reply? I'd often like to show '+1', you know, "what he/she said" and not having much else to add. It'd be quicker than an actual reply (and ...

Re: Routing / external instrument

Hi David - thanks for your reply. I did see that link too. Looks like I'll need a mixer with direct outs as I mentioned. That, or an multi-in audio interface and NO mixer, but you mix everything 'in the box', ITB, in Logic's mixer. That's been my way of working the last 20 years soon, but I do real...

Re: Autoselect Automation Parameter in Logic 10.4.2

This is probably an old and dead matter to most, but doesn't anyone else want to be able to exclude stuff, namely mute and solo at least from the auto selection? For me it's natural to draw automation and listen to the effects in context and in solo, and clicking solo makes solo the automation param...

Re: Flextime editing drums always cuts off transient

Hello to everybody! If not - is there any chance to select all the markers and move them slightly earlier? Dima.  Dunno if this applies to how you work, but can you detect the transients, then slice the audio at the transients, then select all, move the region left corner enough to be before the tr...

Re: Any solution to "CoreMidi" [Korg?] problems with LPX 10.4.8 and Catalina?

Not knowing your system of course, but I had MIDI drivers from like 1000 B.C. in my Mojave system, Korg and others, 32 bit, and wreaked similar havoc. I went to the library and manually took out anything and everything MIDI (manufacturer) related I don't need (and that were dated like 2007 etc) and ...

Re: Slow down drum tracks and retain quality? Topic is solved

Another vote for slicing. It won't always work perfectly, but is made specifically for transient/attack sounds and as volovicg described, has some options to fill in gaps caused by the slowing down tempo. My only addition would be that you should listen to the drum tracks separately to check the alg...
