Jolsen, 6 equal notes in a bar of 4/4 is one of Logic's built-in quantize grids, so it sounds like you're trying to reinvent the wheel here. But suppose you wanted, say, 11 equal notes in the space of a half note. Just enter 11 ordinary quarter notes and trim the region so there's no blank space at ...

Two other common applications. The first often uses a sidechain input to the gate, the second requires one. 1. Gated reverb -- used to give the reverb tail an artificially abrupt dropoff. A classic (arguably over-used) 80's drum sound. 2. Rhythmically gating a pad or other sustained sound with a mor...

Hello, just arrived on this forum (though long-time Logic dabbler)! Is anyone still needing orchestra hits? There's quite a selection on the Roland orchestral card sitting here that I could sample. Just downloaded a bucket load of presets from Logic Pro Help, so would like to give something back ;)...

That's a feature I've seen requested many times -- it would be nice! -- but unfortunately no, you can't change the plug-in menu structure.

Just change the root notes on each snare-drum zone, so each key range gives the range of pitches that you want.

Sharing keystroke focus between Logic and third-party plug-ins is sometimes wonky; issues seem to vary from user to user (possibly depending on the version of OS X ???). For me, the problem arose using Absynth, and I ended up solving it by remapping my screensets from 1, 2, 3, ... to shift-1, shift-...

edit the keymapping in exs24

what you have now (one key per drum hit):

[-][-][-][-][-][-][-][-]

what you need:

[-][-][--------------][-][-][-][-][-]

map your snare to multiple keys, then you can play different keys for different pitches

Not in front of my Logic machine at the moment, but...

A crude but possibly effective solution might be to assign a MIDI note to the "All Notes Off" command. This is done in the Key Commands window.

You can't make them part of the permanent list, but you can make them available to new projects by saving them* as part of the template(s) from which you start new projects.

*Specifically, you need to import the MIDI regions that represent each groove, then re-save the template(s).

No, but you could send the two tracks to an Aux Channel via a bus, and then insert the amp sim on the Aux.

Re: Organizing AU's

Hey Mark, I agree it would be nice to be able to organize plug-ins for easier access. "AU instruments" --> "Native Instruments" ---> "Massive" ---> Then choose "Mono or Stereo" Note that you can stop at "Massive". (I think in this case Logic inserts ...

I'm hosting N.I Massive inside Logic... In that case, you're running Massive as an AU, not a VST. View Track Automation for the instrument track that contains Massive. This gives you a pop-up menu of parameters to automate. The Massive submenu in this pop-up will offer a large list of parameters, a...

If you want to adjust the level of all the channels, with their automation intact, then adjusting master volume might indeed be the best solution.

Otherwise you could insert a Gain plug-in (found in the Utility category) in each channel and boost/cut with that.
