Re: change bounce track in place to mp3

No, as an mp3, being a lossy format, is not suitable for production.

Re: Export audio to video loses sync

There seems to be a bug with tempo curves. Replace them with smaller steps and report if that helps.

Re: Auto Join feature?

I hear you. I regularly work with 100s, sometimes 1000s of Regions. Joining these over and over would create huge amounts of redundant data on disk and also take time to actually join every time, so that's impractical unless I actually need one continuous file for export etc. What's immensely helpfu...

Re: TV or monitor for Logic .....

One thing to look at is latency. A TV can take all the time it wants to bring a frame of video on screen, because you will only ever notice a delay if your neighbours cheer to a goal you're yet to see. Half a second of screen delay in Logic will irritate you to no end and even half of that will make...

Re: How to automate reverb?

Yes, you can automate the Aux level just like you can automate any other track. However, there's also the option to automate the Send on the source channel, so less signal gets sent to the reverb. The difference is that turning the send down can sound less intrusive than turning the entire reverb do...

Re: Slow down audio file to match project tempo

dragging the region itself, not a flex time marker for the first note, correct? Yes. Same for the dragging of the upper corner to line up the last note - I'm dragging the upper corner of the region itself, right? Yes, and since you're in Flex mode, the first note will stay put and the Region will s...

Re: Slow down audio file to match project tempo

It works fine, yes. But consider this - you stretch it, a new file will get written, with some artifacts which usually are small enough to ignore. Then you think "Maybe a tad more." Now the already stretched file will be stretched again, with yet more artifacts. Then you think "Oh, th...

Re: Slow down audio file to match project tempo

Switch on Flex, then align the first note so it's dead on, then align the last note by dragging the upper right corner so its dead on. Repeat for all tracks. If they are played decently, it shouldn't take longer than writing a forum post, so that qualifies as quick and easy I guess. Option-dragging ...

Re: Auto Join feature?

You can set the Drag Mode to Shuffle Left.

Now all you delete will close the gap with material to the right of that point. Like this:

Why you would need to join the resulting Regions begs further explanation, though.

Re: Dynamics or Gain ? Topic is solved

First make sure you grasp the concept of Overload Protection. It says "Whatever you may want to load onto this lorry, we make sure by the time it leaves the gate it only carries as much height as it possibly can without crashing into the next underpass". By pulling into another garage and ...

Re: Elements of a track - Reference sheet

Nope, doesn't make sense. You may remove lows from the hihat but what if it sounds too thin ? You may end up adding lows. You may compress the kick, but what If it punches you in the chest already ? Why compress it then ? This is not painting by numbers. You need to listen to what's actually there a...

Re: Color Schemes

I see. No, there is no way to change that. I've also looked into the source document that CreationAuts use for modding and there is no mention of that areas either.

Re: Easy Way (one click) to Toggle Metronome On and Off?

Well, but - did you actually try my last suggestion ? It does what you want precisely. Metronome on and off with but one mouse-click, while able to preroll into a Cycle recording.

Re: Easy Way (one click) to Toggle Metronome On and Off?

this won't work at all when recording in cycle mode (which I often do). Dude, you seem to like to be complicated... - Deactivate 1234 Count-In - Go to Project Settings > Recording - Activate Record Pre-Roll, set it to 3sec - Enable Cycle - Hit Record - Look Ma, silent preroll into Cycle Recording B...

You guys are moving the goalposts. Count-In wasn't even on the table until after I gave a solution :P

Re: Easy Way (one click) to Toggle Metronome On and Off?

Count-In is always off here. Click starts at bar 1, music starts at bar 2.

The task was to make the click come and go with one mouse-click. If he does not want a metronome yet still wants a count-in, yes, he can click on that too.
