OK, so I guess it's not just me. I wonder what's causing it. I suppose compensating with panning is an alright fix, but the perfectionist in me would like to get to the bottom of this...

I've had the chance to use the IRs on a couple mixes and they sound really great... but I'm having a small issue. All the presets seem to output an uneven stereo signal, and I'm getting a higher level on the left channel. I've tested this by sending in a single mono channel, so it definitely seems t...

Yeah, thanks a ton! I was about to post something about this and found this thread. The Acoustica version of the IRs (supposedly with presets for Sample Designer) are no longer available, so your labors mean I can actually use these IRs! I was playing with the hardware version of an M7 yesterday, so...

Mapping control knobs to third party soft synth

I'm trying to use the rotary encoders (knobs) of an M-Audio Axiom keyboard to control synth parameters on a third party soft synth (specifically, IK Multimedia's SampleMoog). I thought I would be able to use Automation Quick Access, but the synth parameters I want to control (oscillators, effects, e...

Hosa MIDI to USB interface

Anyone have any experience using the Hosa MIDI to USB audio interface? I have a chance to get one on the cheap, but I want to make sure it's Mac friendly. Some stores say it's PC only, others say it works with CoreMIDI. Anybody using it out there? Thanks. --------- Macbook Pro 2.26 Ghz, 4 GB RAM, Ap...

My recording needs are simple in that 95% of the time I'll only be recording one track. The Apogee One (I think that's what you're referring to) looks nice, but I also definitely need a MIDI i/o. I didn't know you could daisy-chain a HD off the TC Konnekt, but I see that it has two FW ports. Good to...

bus speeds, hard drives, and audio interfaces

A friend just showed me this forum. It's awesome. Glad to be here... And I was hoping someone could lend some advice. Here's the deal: I have a 13" Unibody Macbook Pro, which comes with 2 USB ports and a Firewire 800. I just got Logic 9 (f*cking cool) and I'm in the market for a budget audio in...
