It's a safety limiter plug-in to avoid this white noise blast issue tearing your ears out: 10.7.1 - Does Ice9 (Cerberus Safety Limiter) work?
Thanx for the information!
Never got that happening over here, but better be safe than sorry!

I never tested it, but I read that some plugins will use CPU resource as soon as instantiated, even when turned off...
So I wouldn't be surprised if actually does...

Re: Create 1 Track vs 2 Track Automation Points for parameter Topic is solved

I’m not at the studio to confirm same, but IIRW, the " Create 2 Track Automation Points for visible parameter " will create 2 superposed points (making one masked by the other) on each end of a selection. Dragging up or down the automation selection between those visible points will create...

Re: Change the scale of the level meters - Logic Pro 10.7

I didn’t check (not being at the studio) but that option was apparently removed in those last versions.
I don’t know why…
Nevertheless, the documentation keeps mentioning about same…
Perhaps an omission?

Re: Different controller sliders don't behave the same way in logic Topic is solved

To remove a controller from Logic, you have to disconnect it and then go in the Control Surface Setup window to delete its corresponding icon. To adjust the Oxygen faders control reaction, in Logic's General Control Surfaces preferences , enable Pickup mode . In M-Audio's lingo (p.10) that feature i...

Re: Importing Projects in Different Tempos

If your project was initially created in Logic the answer is yes. If it was recorded otherwise, you would have to seek that info after the source of the recording mean (other DAW or recording device). The idea behind finding about that embedded tempo metadata is to use Logic accordingly: in order to...

Re: Importing Projects in Different Tempos

Tempo metadata information is added automatically to the exported or saved tracks (audio and MIDI) by Logic (and some other DAW, and probably other recording devices). Which could make it complicated is that Logic is reading and tries to deal with the recorded material embedded tempo information, wh...

Re: Flex Pitch mutes sound when turned on Topic is solved

The rectangles with their six dots note representations could sometimes appear at a different vertical position (not being vertically lined up with their waveform representation). Have you tried scrolling up or down?

I think that flex pitch works only on monophonic material.

Re: Arpeggiators and Sequencers

That is probably due to the new features and whatnot guizmos appearing every now and then which drags creators attention. Then when an fx features in a hit song, that creates a fad for same; until the next new fx shine in a new hit song… Since vinyl records came back on the market, I’m pretty sure t...

Re: How to check max velocity in group of notes?

Perhaps using the Transform function to highlight some notes according to certain criteria or perhaps resorting to a spreadsheet; but those methods aren't probably as quick and easy as your's to view the lowest notes velocities. Which by the way, I admit not really understanding what you mean by tha...

Re: Add Tom and Cymbal to drum kit

The number of drums and cymbals in Drummer is set. Cannot change that AFAIK. Indeed! Just noticed that DrumKit Designer is seemingly hardwired to a preset limited perc set. For instance it contains only 3 toms, while Bill44077 is looking for a 4th one and an extra crash... Thus, I guess the solutio...

Re: How to check max velocity in group of notes?

How about via the Event List editor?
In the Piano Roll the colour of the note event could give you a hint especially for the broader differences.
In the Piano Roll again, the automation (velocity) points should also help you spot same at a glance, especially if the zoom is adjusted accordingly…

Re: horizontal scrolling

There is a feature that isolate the region’s horizontal from vertical movement, but I’m not aware of such a feature, either at project settings or Logic’ preferences level to do the same for scrolling the window (at least with a mouse). I’d be encline to believe, after your last post, that might be ...

Re: Add Tom and Cymbal to drum kit

Are you using the DM10 sounds or are you. using Logic’s (or other 3rd party) plugin sounds, such as Drum Kit Designer’s?
In latter case, have tried the extended parameters other mapping options?
For more flexibility, perhaps using the producers kits could be your solution?

Re: Controller periodically fails

Those are installed controllers in the Control Surface Setup window . Normally those should correspond to the one you installed. In your case you should see only one controller icon (the Novation’s), unless you have installed others. If there are some that you did not install, simply click on it to ...
