Re: Forcing "Key of C" signature

Doh! Here I was trying to make my own pencil by carving wood, making graphite and gluing it together with home grown and cured rubber for an eraser, and all I had to do was go to CVS and buy one! Such an easy solution. Thanks.

Re: Forcing "Key of C" signature

Thanks for the post, Yes. That looks right. Just trying to insert two naturals to indicate that the key SIGNATURE is now C Major. So... what's the secret and will it work with 10.3.3 or 10.4.8?

Thanks

Re: Forcing "Key of C" signature

Thanks for the replies. Haven't had time to make a sendable version...:/ BUT...to reiterate: There is no key change. Just an INSTRUMENT change. From Concert Treble (written in C major) to a Tenor Sax (Written in D major) and back. I can't seem to "Force" those two naturals to show up. UNLE...

Re: Forcing "Key of C" signature

There is no key change. Just a clef change. From Concert Treble to a Tenor Sax and back. I have tried dragging the key of C in... but it's already in the key of C. Maybe tomorrow I'll share a simplified project with this part.
Thanks

Re: Forcing "Key of C" signature

Thanks for the response As you can see from the screen shot, I'm using multiple regions to generate the part. One is a Tenor Sax clef, the other a concert treble clef. When I switch regions, the transposition changes, but it is not helped by the insertion of two naturals as you can see by the screen...

Forcing "Key of C" signature

I'm doing a part that goes back and forth between Tenor and Flute. The piece is in Concert C major. When I insert the tenor clef, I get a key signature (D). When I go back to flute the key signature goes away, but I can't seem to get the two naturals reminding the player that C and F are now natural...

Re: Why does logic bounce mixes that sound lower then real time?

Ok... one last question. Does that mix level determine how much dynamic range (in use of bits) you get from your bounce? If my output looks super low, am I only getting a portion of the bit depth? It would appear to my untrained eye, that the normalizing happens to the FILE, after the mix/bounce, no...

Re: Why does logic bounce mixes that sound lower then real time?

Thank you all for your input. AND...I guess I need a more simple answer to the master fader/bounce question. I'm assuming (possibly incorrectly) that "Output 1-2" which contains the "Bnc" button, is is the summed "source" of my bounced final product. Screen Shot 2021-04...

Re: Why does logic bounce mixes that sound lower then real time?

This post raised two questions that I'd be curious to have answered by those more knowledgable than me. (7.6 billion or more) 1. Would things like compression or other dynamic processing react differently in a real time vs. offline bounce. (I would hope not, but that seems possible) 2. Someone menti...

Re: Flex Pitch Adjustment Question

Yeah, I thought if I turned off Core Audio and just used the mac system for input/output that maybe I could use a variable sample rate... but that didn't work.

Re: Flex Pitch Adjustment Question

A crazy idea.... what if you changed the sampling rate by the same percentage. I'm no Einstein but something like either 440/442 or 442/440 (I think it's 440/442 because you want a smaller number. Once you find that percent then multiply 48000 by that (Should be lower than 48k). Then change your sam...

Re: Flex time to make a consistent tempo in a Full Mix Topic is solved

Thanks for the reply....
I followed your directions and it worked. The missing step was writing the tempo to the file. Never did that before. I'll see the 1st Alto in court!!

Thanks again,

Flex time to make a consistent tempo in a Full Mix Topic is solved

Hi, I'm trying to take an large ensemble piece (Big Band Tune) recorded live and make it a consistent tempo. I thought this would work as follows: 1. Create a Beat Map. 2.Choose a flex mode (I've tried a bunch of different ones) 3. Erase all the tempo changes from the beat map. But this doesn't seem...
