Re: Change sample rate for piece of audio? [SOLVED] Topic is solved

This is just what I was looking for. Super helpful...Thanks! One question - does converting the audio files (say from 44.1 to 48) have any detrimental effects on those audio files? I would say always try to record, at the rate you plan to use; conversions are exactly that, converting always has it'...

Re: OS X El Capitan - Not supported Software and Hardware

Received this just the other day, from Synrthax, not sure if reported:

RME would like to point out that RME drivers work without known issues under 10.11 as well as 10.11.1.

Re: High end audio interface

+1 for RME. By far the most stable and versatile interfaces in the price range Yep! +1 for RME 802 Very happy with my new, RME 802, & TotalMix FX... Setup a mix of several mics & DI, into TotalMix FX, EQ Comp, routed to phones & now I understand the word 'pristine', so heavily...

Using iPad with 'TotalMix FX for iPad' & 'Logic Remote'

OK, let me see if I can rap my brain around all this new technology... If I understand the literature: After configuring CC mode on the FF802 with an iPad; I can use then 'TotalMix FX for iPad', to getting a mix setup, for the headphones (monitoring), etc, for a perticular session; once happy with t...

Re: High end audio interface

The Fireface 800 was also using firewire 400. Band width is more than enough for all it's inputs and outputs. The 800 protocol was only needed when daisy chaining 2 or 3 interfaces. The new Fireface 802 supports FW400 and USB2 so you have pretty future safe combo. Like I stated above. Bandwidth is ...

Re: High end audio interface

The 800 looks interesting. Then get the 802 which is the newer version! _voDs_Y75r8 So, if I understand his broken english, the RME 802 has a FW 400 (IEEE 1394), and not FW 800 (IEEE 1394b), but because they have their own design, it will perform sufficiently well, without the increased BW t...

Love the 'Rocket' J., I use it on 'sub auxs', tastefully, to blend & bring out instrumentations... so I will definitely use that link... Thanks!

Re: Logic Pro 64 bit compatible plug-ins

Man, been waiting for this... worth the wait, threw 'Alchemist' on the output of a song I've been working on, behind Elixer (one of their limiters) and dialed up their 5-band patch... sweet. FYI To celebrate that all Flux:: plug-ins now are available in v3 versions we offer* a 50% release special on...

Re: Led Zeppelin sued for 'Stairway To Heaven'

I listened to the song in question by 'Spirit' on YouTube and was somewhat surprised at the similarities... Mr. Page went on record in 1988 saying: "Obviously it can get to the point where it gets past being a compliment , and it can be rather annoying, when you've got things like Kingdom Come...

Re: Led Zeppelin sued for 'Stairway To Heaven'

Seen & heard documentary on LZ many many rips, the opportune obscurity of so many of the early blues artist allowed, as they were plainly embraced, appropriated, & made LZ's own, more then just borrowing licks, but even phrases and lines...

Re: Aux Channel Best Practices

If done right, there's no reason the guitar should sound over-compressed at all. In fact if done right nobody should be able to hear any compression at all... except maybe another sound engineer. On the other hand, you can completely suck the life out of that same guitar using a single compressor. ...
