That's awesome you added that last reply. It works perfectly.

Thank you for all the help!

Re: Req for Assistance: Button to Change Mod Wheel to CC11 On the Fly Topic is solved

I’m really just learning to use faders in the environment. I tried to create a button to change my mod wheel’s output to CC11 by just pressing it (changing its state). It didn’t work. What would help us determine why it didn't work is a screenshot or a detailed explanation of how you created your b...

Re: Exchange "2/2" for the Cut-Time Symbol in Score Editor? Topic is solved

...Those part box ornaments such as cut time are global objects assigned to the entire score - they have no relation to the time signature or clef. ( you could set the time signature to anything you want and you will still see the cut time ornament in the score (...) Any time signature not placed o...

Re: Exchange "2/2" for the Cut-Time Symbol in Score Editor? Topic is solved

Could you please clarify what you mean by change - not sure I understand the specifics to the question? I set the Project’s initial time signature to 2/2, and 2/2 is showing up in the score editor at the start of the project. However, I would prefer the “cut time” sign if possible. Hopefully the sc...

Req for Assistance: Button to Change Mod Wheel to CC11 On the Fly Topic is solved

I hope this is the correct forum for this question. I’m really just learning to use faders in the environment. I tried to create a button to change my mod wheel’s output to CC11 by just pressing it (changing its state). It didn’t work. If it’s not too involved, would anyone be willing to explain how...

Re: Exchange "2/2" for the Cut-Time Symbol in Score Editor? Topic is solved

Hi Drag and drop into Score works fine here. Unless you mean change the 'Time Signature Menu' selection options. I don't think that is possible.: Cut Time.png Hi, Upon further review, I did in fact mean the Time Signature Menu setting for the project. I’m glad you were able to interpret what I was ...

Exchange "2/2" for the Cut-Time Symbol in Score Editor? Topic is solved

I’m probably being overly picky, but I’d like to assign the cut-time sign to the beginning of a project rather than use 2/2.

I see that I can insert the cut-time symbol from the part box; but is it possible to change the initial time signature as well?
Thanks in advance.

Re: Automation Regions/Automation Tracks Window Topic is solved

Sorry, I realize that again being off the track... But, how do one access that infamous "Automation Tracks/Regions" window? At least for the sake to be warned of what it looks like if it happens that I fall on it one day... Thanks for your post from yesterday, Atlas007. As you can see, I ...

Re: Automation Regions/Automation Tracks Window Topic is solved

I recently “discovered” the version of the Tracks window with automation regions. That window is not meant to be user accessible and is a way to display how Logic handles Track automation data "under the hood", you should generally edit your track automation using the regular automation c...

Automation Regions/Automation Tracks Window Topic is solved

I recently “discovered” the version of the Tracks window with automation regions. It seems like it would be useful when manipulating automation on many regions at once. Are there any other common uses for it that someone can share? Or is it a holdover from much earlier versions? It also seems like a...

Re: Drum Mix Question: Isolating Kicks from Overhead Mics?

i mean, if its sounds good it sounds good. in a traditional drum recording kick is sometimes filtered out of OHs, sometimes it isn't. If you're going for the "natural" drums, keep it to one plug and open overheads, if you're doing less traditional things, just do whatever sounds right. Yo...

Drum Mix Question: Isolating Kicks from Overhead Mics?

I’m working on a track for which I’m combining kit pieces from 3 different plugins: Drum Kit Designer, a custom Ultrabeat kit & EZdrummer 2. I’m routing & layering each plugin’s kick to one subgroup, and it sounds great. Both Drum Kit Designer and EZdrummer 2 have Overhead mic channels (whic...

Re: Ultrabeat appreciation thread

Another Ultrabeat addict here. The design doesn’t even bother me, I’m so used to it, and I learned to program drums from scratch with it. It’s the backbone of my electronic & rock templates, in which I also use Rob Papen’s Punch & RAW-Kick and Battery.

Re: How do I use NRPN to Control Plugins?

If I wanted to send a 14-bit breath control message per your example, do I literally send CC2 immediately followed by CC34? Is it that simple? Thanks if you can confirm or deny. That would work but what you really need is a controller that understands 14 bit CCs and implements all this natively... ...

Re: How do I use NRPN to Control Plugins?

MIDI CCs are 7 bit by default. "14 bit CCs" are actually two CCs used together . The MIDI spec intended CCs from 0-31 to match up with CCs 32-63. Let's choose CC#2 (breath for our example. If the breath controller sends the upper (MSB) bits as CC #2 and the lower (LSB) bits as CC #34... @...

Re: Has Anyone Installed Bravura Font from GitHub for 10.1+ Score Editor?

http://www.smufl.org/fonts/ Thank you volovicg & logicben for replying. @volovicg, that link led me to the solution. I installed the app Packages, created an installer and it worked. I'm very happy, Bravura is very close to the Schirmer editions I grew up studying through 12 years of piano less...

Has Anyone Installed Bravura Font from GitHub for 10.1+ Score Editor?

...my question is not how to install the Bravura font, that's easy. But what the hell does one do with the files provided by GitHub? There's a downloadable file named "Bravura Font Family.pkgproj"...but my system has no way to open ".pkgproj" files. I tried opening with it Pacifi...

Re: Looking for a SYSEX Management Solution

Have you tried transferring to sysex librarian at the slower speeds? And are you using a dedicated MIDI interface and not one of those USB dongle thingies? I'm using a MIDISport 4x4. I was able to capture the sysex dumps I needed by transferring at a slower speed per your suggestion. Will try rAC's...
