Re: Ad Limiter ballpark typical settings?

this all comes down to your mix.... spend a LOT of time getting your mix just right. there are no specific settings someone can tell you to use on the limiter because every track is different. it's going to be different just based on your tracks headroom. but if your mix is super good, you don't nee...

Re: When I load a sample in Ultrabeat, it sounds different.

they initialize ultrabeat. these were uploaded by David (the dude that runs this site) a long time ago. they're his presets for initializing ultrabeat. they pretty much allow you to drag and drop samples into ultrabeat without there being any change to the sample because of filters or anything else ...

Re: solo problem

ok so i think i figured it out. the track that was muting itself that was the problem had been routed to bus 10. bus 10 then had no output because it was just a trigger for another track. so i just made the output of bus 10 to be the same bus 40 as everything else, and then took the volume all the w...

Re: When I load a sample in Ultrabeat, it sounds different.

use either of these:

Ultrabeat Sample Player (now w/velocity)

you can save these in your User>Library>Application Support>Logic>Plug-in Settings>Ultrabeat folder. now when you open ultrabeat you should have these presets available.

Re: How to Save/Export Multiple MIDI files?

so first you want to make sure that each track has only one midi region. because when you export the midi to your desktop, each midi region will then be it's own track when imported. so if you have multiple midi regions on one track, make sure you join them all together. then all you have to do is s...

Re: solo problem

one of them is going to the stereo out (my reference track). the other two are routed to bus 40, which I use for my master out. so when I solo bus 40 (my master) it mutes those 3 tracks only. I'm not at home but I'll post a shot when I get home. muting one of them, the reference track is fine. but t...

solo problem

how come when i solo my master channel it mutes some of my other tracks? not all of them, just 3 of them. the M flashes on them. everything that's routed to my master should play just fine when i solo my master channel. but for some reason 3 of my tracks get muted when i solo my master. any ideas?

Re: mixer and leave folder view

no one else has any suggestions??? i've tried importing everything into a new project and it's still doing this. no other project of mine does this. i've never noticed this behavior before and i've tested on older projects and it doesn't do this.

Re: mixer and leave folder view

Once you are out of the folder view and back in your main arrange, just lock your screenset and hit Save. pic 2014-09-17 at 10.23.46.PNG thanks for the reply, but i've already tried that and it does not work. and i never lock my screensets in any of my other projects and they aren't doing this eith...

mixer and leave folder view

so for some reason out of nowhere, if i'm on a track in which i have a folder, when i open my mixer it only shows me that specific track and then all the aux tracks. if i click the arrow thing in the top left corner of the mixer, it says "leave folder" and then i can view all my tracks lik...

Re: Unique signal paths per track

i don't think this is possible. aux 1 would have 2 different outputs. that's not possible. what you'd probably need to do is create 3 aux tracks. essentially duplicate aux 1 so they have the same effects and everything going on. because you want midi 1 going to aux 1 and midi 2 going to aux 1, but o...

Re: Recording Electric Drums as Midi file

i think you're confused about what midi is. midi will trigger a software instrument. if you want to use the sounds from the actual module on the td-11, you'll have to record the live audio of that as you play. the only way you'd be able to use midi to trigger those sounds in that module is if you i...

Re: Is it possible to pan only one frequency range?

typically you'll want the bass frequency to be mono..... but if you want to pan the low frequencies left, you'll have to split the track. duplicate the track and use the eq to cut all the highs and pan that track left. then on the other duplicate cut all the lows and pan that right, or leave centere...

Re: How would you get rid of this terrible squeaking sound?(

try using a multiband compressor and use the bands to tame those till it sounds right to you. just lower the threshold till you get the amount of reduction that sounds right.

Re: Apple Loops Not Showing in Loop Browser

if you go to your User > Library > Application Support > Logic do you see a file in there that says LoopsDatabass? make sure you're looking at your user and not the main hd. if so, delete that file and then try to reindex from the menu in the loops browser. if you don't see that file, then you're no...
