Re: Where next for Logic? 10.7.x, or 11.0?

I wouldn’t be surprised if we get a virtual bass player to go along with Drummer in the next version. Something to take on Toontracks EZ Bass. “Bassist?” Nah. “Bass Player.” I think this as well. With the sun setting on the Music Memos app, the bass player feature has to have a home somewhere :D Mu...

Re: Where next for Logic? 10.7.x, or 11.0?

subscription-based Logic Pro Cloud server which allows for real time remote collaboration and offline Logic project backup and storage. This is something I'm dying to see come to fruition. Between iCloud, Facetime, and Messages, seems like Apple has all the tech they need to deliver a great collabo...

Re: Logic Pro 10.6 is out

Indeed you're right! Actually come to think of it I think I remember discussing this in the recent past. Probably with you. :) In any case thanks for posting that extra info here, very useful. You bet, David! I tripped over that solution by accident in a desperate search for the latency help tags. ...

Re: Logic Pro 10.6 is out

I seem to notice that 10.6 seems to have removed the ability to float the mouse pointer over a plugin button to see the latency being reported by that particular plugin. Is anyone else getting this same behavior? I am working off a fresh install of Catalina so maybe its a preference I need to set t...

Re: 10.5.1 is out.

I remember so clearly a meeting after I had started at Microsoft. We were getting close to releasing one of the Windows operating systems, but I had full access to the bug database and knew how many bugs still existed. I expressed my shock that we would release an OS with so many open bugs. How cou...

Re: Controller..

Absolutely! It's a shame because the Faderport is pretty slick :)

On the flip side of the coin, PreSonus gear I own and very much love:

- Sceptre monitors
- Monitor Station v2
- Quantum

And I'm quite keen on their new Ampire amp modeler. Though it's a little buggy still in AU format ;)

Re: Controller..

Regarding the Faderports: I owned the Faderport 8 for about a year, but eventually sold it. Initially it worked well for me as a controller for Logic. Though the Faderport is designed to shine with Studio One, I was quite happy with its performance with Logic. But over the course of that year as bot...

Re: favorite wrist saving "mice" Topic is solved

xchrisxtopher thanks so much for sharing, very insightful and may be useful to me if one day even the Trackpad creates too much pain for me. Not ideally placed on my MacBook, I agree, but I do like the Magic Trackpad 2 which I can place to the right of the magic keyboard. You bet! I think this thre...

Re: favorite wrist saving "mice" Topic is solved

Though I would never use the Magic Mouse 2 again, having the recharging port underneath?? whats that all about? I agree with you 100% on the bottom facing charge port! That is pretty lame. I just keep tabs on the battery level of the mouse so I can charge it overnight. Thanks for reading about my j...

Re: favorite wrist saving "mice" Topic is solved

Throwing my hat into the ring as I spent a lot of time trying to find the best mouse to alleviate my wrist pain. Like the OP, I was using the Macbook trackpad in its default state. For many years it was no big deal, but last year I started to experience pain that made working on my Macbook unbearabl...

Re: presonus quantum interface with logic pro x

Hi StashMusic! The very last set of inputs - Inputs 27-28 - are for the Talkback Mic. As you mentioned you would create a New Track with the Input set to 27-28 and enable the Input Monitoring button for that Track.

Re: drawing out the lip smack?

The only viable solution is to use Izotope RX 7 and manually apply Spectral Repair to each click. This can fix mouth clicks and most other artifacts completely and without any audible compromises. I understand if that's an expensive solution, but it's how all professionals do it. Preferably this sh...

Re: drawing out the lip smack?

Hi Fredo, I'm sure others have more Logic-oriented solutions. The easiest solution I've found is Soothe from oeksound. Though not cheap, the remove mouth clicks preset is magical. If you have an iLok, I suggest trying the demo. That should allow you to go through your vocal tracks and bounce each in...

Re: Question regarding 'new' Logic Pro???

To be more accurate in my statement, many people speculated, not necessarily "everyone." Many folks on this forum have the good foresight to not get too excited about what Apple *might* do. Crossing everything I have over here for a 10.5 update. Heck, I'd pay for a major update! We shall s...

Re: Question regarding 'new' Logic Pro???

The big 2020 NAMM show starts this Thursday in Anaheim, CA. Logic Pro updates tend to come out on Tuesdays, I believe. Just curious if there was a big update for Logic last year before NAMM? Thanks. This year everyone’s been eerily quiet about the speculation. Probably because everyone (myself incl...

Re: Bounce in place per region

I use the bounce in place a lot and I find the process a bit tedious when I have different regions, but they all belong to the same track What do you guys think of Logic coming with an extra feature for that? Here's what I came up with as a suggestion that I will be sending to Apple: menu.png So th...

Re: Logic Pro X (NEW EQ)

I'm very much a fan of the Logic selection of EQs. If I had the opportunity to request changes/additions, I have 3: 1) The ability to solo a band in the Channel EQ It's nice to have the ability to solo a parametric band when I'm chasing my tail. A great feature of the Fabfilter Pro-Q 3. 2) Eliminate...

Re: Auto organize channel strips

I'm similar to David in that I organize my plugins to all line up across the mixer. For example: Slot 1: Gain Slot 2: Channel EQ Slot 3: Compressor If I choose not to open the Gain plugin on a track, I'd prefer Logic not collapse empty slots to save room. The current system is great for staying orga...

Re: Komplete Kontrol S Series Owners (question re: Auto Assign)

Ah, too bad! Such a great controller. It would be great for Native Instruments to go the extra mile on that one. Can't think of a controller I've actually enjoyed working with aside from the mk 2.

Anyways, thanks for the response :)

Komplete Kontrol S Series Owners (question re: Auto Assign)

Question: I was under the impression Logic could automatically assign the S Series Mk 2 knobs to on screen controls. Is that not the case? The controller connects to Logic just fine. Transport and other controls are a-okay. I just thought the Mk 2 was a supported controller for auto-assign. Would lo...
