Re: Hide Extension while saving project gone Topic is solved

Perhaps a dumb question but, when/why would we want to save a project without the extension attached ?
So you could open it in another Daw? Any specific examples ?
Just curious. Thanks

Re: Interface works, but no audio input Topic is solved

Did you ever run into the new Catalina or Mojave security requirement to manually allow the app (Logic) to use (access) audio input? It may be worth a visit back there. If you have clicked "Don't Allow" for any reason, you will need to open the System Preferences and go to Security and Pri...

Re: EXS24 Facelift

Yes, just to note the correct path to the 'back' file in LPX 10.4.8.
It may even matter which version of Logic was used because this thread started 2 years ago.

Re: EXS24 Facelift

I was exploring in this post and discovered that the edit path originally stated above is incorrect for LPX 10.4.8. The path is; Logic Pro X 10.4.8.app/Contents/Plugins/exs.res/Contents/Resources/esx24ii_back.png Interestingly, ALSO, these are simple png pictures and editable using almost ANY graphi...

Re: Question About Creating PDFs on iPad From This Forum

What I often do, is open a blank page in Apple “TextEdit.app” . Then I highlight what I want from the post and simply do a copy/paste into the textedit page and “Save as” in an appropriate place. If the colors are wrong at least I can edit the text and background colors if I need to, without too muc...

Re: Logic compatibility for Sierra 10.12.4

I am running High Sierra (10.13.6) and have both QT 7.6.6 and QT 10.4 and they both seem to work just fine. I hesitated for a long while going from Sierra to H.sierra but HS just seems like a faster Sierra now. H.S warns you about that 32/64 bit stuff but things still work anyway. It's Mojave I fear...

Re: New Logic update 10.4.5 is here! Topic is solved

I just downloaded my new version of Logic Pro 10.4.5 and now it won't open, it crashes every time. Any one else having this issue? It is just a single session file that won't open from any disk. All older sessions open just fine. Very odd. I just happened to see this same problem from another new L...

Re: Korg Nanokontrol

Make sure you are in the right ‘Library’ folder.
There are a few actually.
it’s ;
Main Hard Drive/Library/Application Support/MIDI Device Plug-ins ?
AKA Macintosh HD/Library/Application Support/MIDI Device Plug-ins ?
(NOT User/ Library)

Has to be there!

Re: Korg Nanokontrol

Have you checked here;
Main Hard Drive/Library/Application Support/MIDI Device Plug-ins ?
Sometimes there’s a Bundle in there too.

also?
/Library/Audio/MIDI Drivers/KorgUSBMIDIDriver.plugin (vs. 1.2.1)
/System/Library/Extensions/advKorgUSBMIDIDriver.plugin (vs. 1.2.1 (r4))

If you look in your ‘User Control Panel’ for this Board, there is a folder/editor where your bookmarks are kept.

Re: Key command flash ?

In Accessibility / Audio there is an option to ‘Flash screen when an alert sounds’
that you could uncheck?
It’s in 10.12.6 also.

Re: Snare rolls in ultrabeat

There’s a nice Snare Drum Roll at A0 (MIDI Key A-zero) on your keyboard when you load the Orchestral/Percussion/Orchestral Kit in Logics’ own Library of sounds. You just drag a midi note out as long as you need for a long roll. Perhaps there’s even a way to to get it into Ultra Beat, but you will ha...

Re: Upgrade to High Sierra?

Just to add my 2 cents….. I have the same Late 2012 iMac (except 21.5” here) and had been on El Capt. for a long, long time. But, when 10.4.0 came out I really wanted to try the new Horns & Strings. I Backed up and Got Sierra installed on an External drive and it seemed just fine, so I just went...
