On Wednesday I tried to put a remixed version into the project and it was half the size and double the speed.

Open that file in a regular Audio Editor, if it plays fine, then there's tempo information in that file and when you import it into Logic, Logic is adjusting for that.

Re: Using 2 or more macs simultaneously thru ethernet

Hello all, I am curious about hooking up my computers using Ethernet; interested in whether Logic 10.6 can work alongside 9.1.8? 2011 iMac i5, 2012 Mac mini i7, Motu 8pre, Kurzweil K2000, Logic 10.6.2, 9.1.8, Spitfire libraries, etc My setup is to two MacMinis using this iConnectMIDI2+ So the audio...

Re: Looking for realistic/authentic alto/tenor sax EXS sound?

I'm in the process of making a song, and I need a good sounding saxophone for the chorus lead. I've tried Logic's stock brass, but they all sound terrible, even the sax on my Jupiter 80. Anyone know where I can get a realistic sounding sax EXS? Any help would be super appreciative! Why don't you po...

Re: Modulator Channel Strip

Okay, this is 16 Modulators being sent but it's actually 32 streams, one half is LFO and the other half is ENV. e1LquUlrrBk In a normal keyboard playing thru MIDI way, using all 16 MIDI channels wouldn't be an issue, but because the Modulator is sending so much data, there's going to be an issue wit...

Ha, I forgot about ENV output, makes sense to include that.
That's what I'm testing now.

Re: Drummer track Name in 10.6.2

I see the same behavior. It could be a bug, or it could be a new design decision from the Logic team, who knows. In my opinion it's a design decision because you can switch out the drum kits but still have the same player play them. I'll will point out an enhancement they should do and that's in th...

Re: How to record Modulator as track automation?

Sorry I get really busy with little things here and there but I'll post more to this thread.
I created this additional thread to not to take this thread off topic.
Controlling Modulator MIDIFX
I'll eventually add the Channel Strip. settings to that thread as well as a sample Logic Project too.

"Thanks for sharing." This page is particularly interesting to me because it lists types of progressions ... "backdoor?" ... "Montgomery-Ward(!) bridge?" ... "Sears-Roebuck bridge?" ... that I had not previously been aware of. "Yeah, that page just earne...

Modulator Channel Strip

I'll post the settings later today but here's a preview of what you can do with this. kqkz3ii7WQ8 As I mention, even though I show I can control 32 parameters, create the addition Channel Strip settings to support 16 MIDI channels and now you can control up to 256 parameters on any effect/instrument...

Re: Recreating Apple Loop sounds-possible?

I had some fun with this.
I've done this before with other Blue Apple Loops.
In the end I never want an exact copy but maybe a similar but hopefully a better loop.

Re: Apple Silicon (M1, M2) Compatibility: AU Plug-Ins, Software, Hardware

Yeah ik peakbuster is UB2 :) I use Archichect drag&drop software to check whether there's arm binaries or not Solo "Kontakt" instrument next to it isn't :) I see that now. I guess an email to KVR to tell them that they need to only allow items on that list that are UB2. I would avoid ...

Re: MIDI notes recorded « in double » Topic is solved

The notes have different positions so they're not exact duplicates. +1 If the positions are off a hair but you know you want them to be at a certain beat, quantize first, then do option+d This sounds even crazy, but you could create a script that receives a note-on and saves that and if you get ano...

Re: Apple Silicon (M1, M2) Compatibility: AU Plug-Ins, Software, Hardware

(Btw Peakbuster is -insanely- good) The icon in red indicates a Universal Binary 2. UniversalBinary2.png I did a lipo on the executable of Peakbuster and this shows it's both Intel and Arm64 (Universal Binary 2) PeakBuster.png If you really want to know if a application is Universal Binary 2, do a ...

Re: How to record Modulator as track automation?

Thanks for sharing that! I almost never use the Environment so I got lost on that last part. Can you explain what you did, the routing and what elements you have there? How were you able to assign 104 - 107 to each channel and each parameter on each plugin? I'll create a video that shows a single s...

Re: How to record Modulator as track automation?

To use the Modulator MIDIFX on any type of track (MIDI/Audio), go thru IAC or a MIDI hardware loopback. This way you can fine tune your Modulator and eventually record as CC messages. Then you can turn off all the Modulators and just play the recorded CC midi to play back not only In the current pro...

Re: MIDI notes recorded « in double » Topic is solved

Great! Good to hear we got to the bottom of it. :) I can't think of an easy way to get rid of the doubled notes. One way that would work at least if you don't have tons of them, is to open the Piano Roll, click a note, Shift-click more notes, then press Delete. It's Option+d I know because I use it...

Re: Apple Silicon (M1, M2) Compatibility: AU Plug-Ins, Software, Hardware

a lot of devs are listing plugs as UB2 even if they only work via rosetta. One other thing that I'll point out as well. A application may be Universal Binary 2 but what sucks is the installer application isn't for some. Fabfilter has both the installer and application Universal Binary 2. Serum does...

Re: Apple Silicon (M1, M2) Compatibility: AU Plug-Ins, Software, Hardware

Wow, just saw this list of Universal Binary 2 software. Universal Binary 2 List  a lot of devs are listing plugs as UB2 even if they only work via rosetta. i.e. the first on that list is a Kontakt library. this is a community maintained list that check every plugin: https://www.kvraudio.co...
