Re: Lua Scripting

Logicpro’s lua is basically some stuff related to control surface support, very hard to get information about it

Re: Logic Not Reading MIDI File? Topic is solved

you can also use this: https://github.com/timwedde/py_midicsv

That basically embeds midicsv directly into python

Re: Logic Not Reading MIDI File? Topic is solved

you need to do better research on your own...

midicsv is available on all platforms including MacOS. That particular page I showed you just tells you all about it.

The easiest way is probably using home-brew: https://macappstore.org/midicsv/

Re: Logic Not Reading MIDI File? Topic is solved

There are numerous extensions for python which automatically handle all the internal storage of midifile structures and can be used through their own API's to create and export a midifile. However, what I found when I was looking into it a while back is that they were often needlessly complex for so...

Re: Logic Not Reading MIDI File? Topic is solved

In case its of any help, here is a Scripter script I wrote a while back that can stream midicsv output to the Scripter window as you playback a sequencer track. its in javascript. there is also a javascript in there for actually using midicsv as the raw input to playback the sequence from Scripter (...

Re: Logic Not Reading MIDI File? Topic is solved

There are various different utilities that can convert between a text file format and a binary midi file...and some python add on libraries can just manipulate midi files directly. I have in the past use midicsv quite a bit... https://www.fourmilab.ch/webtools/midicsv/ which is a tool that can conve...

Re: Modifier Latency

I'm not following you. The script isn't changing anything Modifier is doing, unless I misunderstood, I understood that modifier is converting velocity into plugin automation to your instrument. yes? what do you mean by playing legato and sounding jumpy? The above script simply delays all midi events...

Re: Modifier Latency

Yea you could use very simple Scripter here to delay all midi event by say 10ms...or you can change the number of ms to the minimum required to make things work in the right order. function HandleMIDI(event) { // Delay all midi events by n Milliseconds event.sendAfterMilliseconds(10); } I suspect th...

Re: LogicPro AU3 limitations

What you are seeing is related to Multi instruments, not AUX. The multis all get the forwarded delay value...one delay value for the entire instrument. it doesn't matter whether you're using AUX tracks or not. But as I said, some people reported if you use Beats as the value rather then Milliseconds...

Re: LogicPro AU3 limitations

The delay doesn't work on multi-timbral instruments at all..not only AUX channels. Doesn't work with AU2 either. Not really related to this thread. And yes its annoying. I've been told that the delay might work if you use beat based time instead of milliseconds. worth a try, but I don't think it wil...

Re: MIDI track delay parameter bug?

I think expert sleepers is the way to go with LogicPro for the foreseeable future. If you are unable to break the individual articulations out to separate audio channels, then the next choice would be to use Scripter to adjust latency, in conjunction with ExpertSleepers for lookahead.

Re: Help with Script of CC 7 value (+1) and (-1)

Here's a much more sophisticated version of the script I posted earlier..I will not have much more time to work on this, so if it doesn't meet your needs please work with others to resolve it or figure it out... This has a GUI which might make it easier for you to figure out how it works. Screen Sho...

Re: Help with Script of CC 7 value (+1) and (-1)

There are lots of iPad solutions, using OSC. A surface controller of some kind will provide the two-directional feedback that is needed in order to keep a fader or rotary dial in sync with the the software, via OSC communication. But that is not trivial to setup, and particularly when the desire is ...

Re: Help with Script of CC 7 value (+1) and (-1)

you'll have to figure it out yourself from here, sorry I don't have time to go deeper on this. You logically can't use and UP/DOWN button to. inc/dec the CC7 value unless you start with some value to begin with eh? That would have to be at least once at the start of your tracks. Otherwise it is goin...

Re: Help with Script of CC 7 value (+1) and (-1)

he didn't mention the audio fader. The issue that I don't know how to do in the environment is keep track of the current running CC7 value. I don't have any knowledge about storing values..I guess you just have some env fader that holds the value...and when the INC/DEC events come in, you use the va...

Re: Help with Script of CC 7 value (+1) and (-1)

This can be done in scripter, but a few things you should consider before spending any time on it ⋅ Scripter runs AFTER the sequence in the midi signal chain..which means you can't record to the track the adjusted CC values. You will hear the changes in the instrument, but its post-recordi...

Re: Logic 10.6.3 update + New Features/Enhancements info

not an exciting update ! Then again, when an update has exciting new features, many users complain that the developers should spend more time fixing bugs and stability issues instead of adding exciting new features. ;) IMO if the side chain delay compensation issue is fixed, then that alone is a ra...
