Re: Score Editor - Complex Choir piece

Not sure what went wrong here but the first measure (measure 5) is already way off as far as the notes in the key editor and the notation go: Bildschirmfoto 2021-04-15 um 01.07.39.jpg Bildschirmfoto 2021-04-15 um 01.08.10.jpg Notes in the key editor start 1/8 late compared to the notation. Or there...

Re: Score Editor - Complex Choir piece

I haven't really been trying to follow this thread that closely because I just see too many details to want to read it and understand, but what I can say is that you're way into the weeds...and lack understanding about LogicPro...and are unlikely to get yourself out of the weeds until you either ma...

Re: Score Editor - Complex Choir piece

Not to pile on, but this is something where I would recommend some more study. If you don't know how a measure totals 13 beats when there should only be 12 beats according to the time signature (which suggests you aren't even familiar yet with quarter notes, eighth notes, or dots), knowing how to o...

Re: Score Editor - Complex Choir piece

I believe i fixed your issues except for the consistent bar lengths. Not sure what you mean by "consistent bar lengths." As far as I understand it should be a mathematical calculation for Logic. If the piano roll shows the correct note length, but Score Editor doesn't, how would I control...

Score Editor - Complex Choir piece

Ok. I've exhausted all of my searches. There's plenty of tutorials on Siblius and Dorico, but I don't see anything on Logic Score Editor with respect to notating for vocal arrangements. I have a fairly complex piece that has melodies and sub-melodies. Basically it consists of a soloist + 2 add'l sol...

Is it possible to Bounce and Replace ONLY selected tracks?

Exporting the track as audio forces you to choose whether you want to include Vol/Pan Automation and whether to bypass the plugins when exporting. I usually don't want to print effects and automation to the file itself and would rather leave the "executive decision" to the mixing engineer....

Global Chord track

It's been well publicized that the chord track that was previously included in LP9 has been deprecated in LPX due to several issues. I used to use it when throwing loops into a song to quickly build an arrangement. When Apple removed it I was bummed but eventually learned to live without it. Now wit...

Korg Triton

Presets from the Korg Triton plugin, including all 9 Triton expansions.

Thanks. Any idea as to why Logic won't retain the called up preset as per my post above?

Re: 3rd Party Plugin factory presets database for Logic

I noticed that some plug-ins don't retain the aupreset selection within the plug-in window. Korg Legacy (or any other KORG plug-in) seems to have that problem Any idea as to why this is?

Re: 3rd Party Plugin factory presets database for Logic

Hey Guys, Found this great thread and was trying to put in the presets for the plugins I have and no matter if I put them in my ~/Library/Audio/Presets or the global one, they do not ever appear in the Library list, even after relaunching and choosing "Refresh Library". This is where they...

You can turn on syncopation up in the inspector globally - then you won’t have to do it for each note
Already done! That definitely takes one manual step out of the process. :D

Re: Score Editor - Converting to independent adds unnecessary rests Topic is solved

The OP said “legato sign.” He means ties. Good lord! Well there's a discovery for the ages. My choir director kept referring to those as legatos, so I assumed they're legatos. No wonder Google wasn't helpful. Unbeaming and untying notes in 12/8 can make for some squirrelly notation. There was a tim...

Re: Score Editor - Converting to independent adds unnecessary rests Topic is solved

1/ You may have selected a Staff Style which has more than one voice 2/ You may have Regions over lapping with different notes on top of each other... so you are seeing the rests of 1 region on top of the notes of a second region. You may also have Regions with different settings - therefore showin...

Re: Score Editor - Converting to independent adds unnecessary rests Topic is solved

Did you try enabling (or forcing) "interpretation/syncopation"? Sometimes the only way is to manually adjust the note length. Note length in Piano roll is exactly as I want it and extends all the way to the next note, so there should not be a rest there to begin with. I have exhausted all...

Re: Score Editor - Converting to independent adds unnecessary rests Topic is solved

In both instances, I want to avoid that legato sign so as not to confuse the vocalists. This is just one example, but I'm doing an 8 voice, complex part in 12/8 and I'm encountering a lot of issues where rests are entered where they don't belong.

Score Editor - Converting to independent adds unnecessary rests Topic is solved

I'm trying to write a vocal arrangement and struggling with Logic's Score Editor. The song is in 12/8 and I have the quantization in Score Editor set to 16. Is there any way to prevent the rests from automatically be added when making notes independent?
