Re: Any suggestions on the order of my insert fx?

" By setting up your dynamics post-fader , they don't have to work as hard, ie they're less noticable, because you've handled the worst of it with automation on the track channel."
Old thread ... Can someone help me understand this statement? Thanks

Re: Mapping Drum Pads

Where are you getting the sounds from? What instrument/sampler in Logic?  You mention Atlanta Drum machine, what program does that belong to?  I could be wrong but I don't think you have a logic initiated sampler involved.  You didn't mention: UltraBeat nor EXS nor drum designer, so I think you are ...

Re: Disc too slow or System overload ... still being an issue

You may want to investigate your hard drive.  What type is it? Have you done checks on its health? Space? Are there partitions? Are there more than 1 hard drive?

order of operations for vocal (example)

Dry Vocal -> subtractive EQ->(compress?)->widen/duplicate->(compress/limit)->efx(chorus,reverb,delay)

Just trying to understand when to duplicate/widen and if the compression stage is dupilcated before and after widening the vocal.  Other thoughts are welcomed.

Re: Give my music a GO

I liked it a lot but don't think you executed the idea as well as it should have been. I saw the vision clearly just didn't hear you live up to it. Great concept though

Re: Mixing On Headphones...

I wonder if there are common mistakes when using headphones? Like bass being too subtle.

Re: Duplicating a track's contents

Thanks Eric and David . Let me clarify... I want the track to be duplicated at the same starting position as the source track. 1. What if the source is in the middle of other tracks in the arrange? 2. What if the source is the last track In the arrange? Do these solutions include copying the associa...

disable time machine

How is this best achieved? I want to reduce load on the system and chances of random quirky stuff happening. Do I:

1. Unplug time machine drive
or
2. Disable the time machine service (turn "off")

?

Thanks.

Re: Help Producing a Techno Style Sub Bass

Did you stop trying? Lost interest? 2 YouTube searches and gave up? Unlike some, I'm interested in helping a student who shows they want to learn. 1. Have you read anything h since on the subject?techniques? 2. Have you started any logic projects to apply techniques? Love to hear examples of your at...

Any progress on your investigation or are you baiting people with a deliberately vague post showing no progression of effort on your part?

Re: Suggestions for templates

Thanks David that's why I posted in the techniques section. Just wondering if my style could be enhanced or sped up. While I have no line of sight into why a separate template may help me, I'm not ignoring the notion that someone may enlighten me to some new way to get things done.
