is there a shortcut to open all the automation lanes of a selected track?

Hi, is there any shortcut to open/close the automation lanes of the selected track only? Basically, which would do the same action as clicking the disclosure triangle in the track header (when in automation mode). I found cmd+Y useful to cycle through the used parameters, but not exactly what I'm lo...

Re: new audio track fader too low, why?

I did the same tests with the "Input Monitoring" checkbox that appears in the "new audio track" dialog: it also needs to be unchecked, otherwise the ducking still happens. I did not see any difference with the "Independent monitoring level for record enabled channel strips&q...

Re: new audio track fader too low, why?

However, I found out that it happened only if the "Record Enable" checkbox is ticked in the new audio track dialog. So now I leave it unchecked and I don't have the problem anymore. That didn't solve the problem, but at least I can avoid it ;) Maybe it's my "sound card" that tell...

Re: new audio track fader too low, why?

Thanks for the suggestion.
I just made a quick test, unplugging all my physical inputs and I still have the problem.
I also checked that there was nothing suspicious/unusual in the environment (and there wasn't).

Re: new audio track fader too low, why?

It's 10.5.1, but I believe I had the same problem in 10.4.
It's not a big problem, just alt+clicking the fader solves it, but for the sake of having everything working perfectly... It might be a bug?

new audio track fader too low, why?

Hi, when I create a new audio track, the fader is at -24db instead of 0db, as it used to be before, if I remember correctly. I don't know what I did wrong but since a certain point in time, logic dimmed all my new audio tracks. I didn't find a setting in the preferences to configure that, am I missi...

Re: repeat once in piano roll, without offset ?

Thanks for the suggestion, I forgot about that. Indeed, with the proper shortcuts (for changing the quantize values and for changing tools with just the keyboard), it can be as fast as the repeat command. I'll do that :)

repeat once in piano roll, without offset ?

Is it possible to configure the offset that's happening in the piano roll, with the "Repeat once" command? I'm trying to build a "snare build", techno style, and so I have placed two 1/16 notes next to each other, I just want to press cmd+R (the Repeat once command) multiple time...

Re: Best Way to Commit Flex Time Audio?

Thanks all for this long discussion. I can confirm that "Bounce Regions in Place" (ctrl+b) does commit the flex changes, as Christian said (using logic pro 10.5), and you probably want to check the "Bypass Effect Plug-Ins" checkbox before doing so, so that your plugins are copied...

Re: Copying and Pasting Help

I don't know if it answers your problem, but I just discovered that if you have your Snap options like this (all in the same snap menu in the arrange window): - Snap to Grid - Snap to Bar - Snap Regions to Relative Value Then if you use the marquee tool and select the bar you're working on, then do ...

keep plugins while changing instruments Topic is solved

I believe it's not possible, but on a channel strip, is it possible to change the instrument while keeping the effects plugins? A similar question has been asked here: https://www.logicprohelp.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=121004. My use case is this: I want to audition different kicks samples with the ...

Re: environment: record a simple fader movement

Actually, for the ones interested, I digged a little more into the subject, and here is what I discovered. Logic pro can record the midi data generated by a fader most of the time, but sometimes it won't allow it, depending on the output type (control, fader, faderM, ...) and the midi channel. Basic...

environment: record a simple fader movement

Hi, I'm trying to record a fader movement, but my approach doesn't seem to work. My setup is an audio track with an apple loop on it, and I've put a channel eq on it, and I try to target the third band's frequency, which reads F-2-17-xx (in a monitor). So then in the environment I create a vertical ...

Environment Toolkit for Logic Pro X (from Len Sasso at Swiftkick)

Hi, thanks to some posts on this forum I was able to download the toolkit from swiftkick (http://www.swiftkick.com/). I'm reading the pdfs, and find it very interesting. But unfortunately, all the concrete examples seems to be delivered as .lso files which my version of logic pro can't open (it basi...

Re: Save Lane Set for step editor as template for other projects Topic is solved

Never mind I found it.
You need to rename your lane set first (in the inspector: "Lane Set" tab).
