Re: Fade Tool Broken Topic is solved

Is it a PCM file? What format? Wav? Aiff? Are you dragging the fade tool OVER the region boundaries? From inside the region, over the boundaries, outside the region then release the mouse? Gotcha, you're right about the boundary thing. I was trying to apply the fade to a specific part of the synth ...

Re: Fade Tool Broken Topic is solved

Are you trying to apply it on a take folder? I don't believe so. What I did was I exported a synth loop I made in the ES2 as an audio file, then I dragged the audio file from Finder into an Audio channel. I can do everything but apply fades to this audio file. I have tried this out in other project...

Fade Tool Broken Topic is solved

I'm trying to apply fades to a specific audio file in a song that I am working on and the fade tool is just not working at all. I have it selected to where it activates when I press the command button, but when I try to apply a fade literally nothing happens. It's like this when I try to use it on A...

Just move everything from the "Bounces" folder into the folder you want it in.

Re: Audio missing from replacing project file

This is one of the most annoying things I’ve encountered in my short time as a producer. I’m missing an audio file from one of my favorite creations and it pisses me off. It literally just disappeared off my Mac. God knows why, but from now on I’m saving a copy of all audio files in my projects on a...

Re: Soft pad sound

The EXS24 and Alchemy have good presets like this, you just gotta find them. Turning the cutoff down on some of them helps too.

As said above, you could always make a soft pad with sine wave, maybe stack a couple on each other.

Re: My first EP

One thing that rather stands-out to me is that, in the first few seconds of the song, you rather "plop" a very big white-noise pad into the middle of the song, with various other mostly-percussive parts dancing around it. At 0:56 it abruptly changes, but the change doesn't last long. It v...

My first EP

Hey everyone, I have uploaded my first EP to SoundCloud and YouTube. It's sort of a blend between ambient music, bass, and experimental electronic music. Give it a listen, like and follow if you f*%@ with me! http://www.soundcloud.com/salehbassmusic/sets/transient-ep https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=...

Re: Any idea how to get church bells in Logic Pro X?

You can find the bells in the EXS24 sampler or you can create them in ES2 by using a sine wave with low attack, mid sustain and decay with high release. Throw some reverb on there too.

Re: EXS24 Instruments Deleted -- HELP

Have you moved any files? I didn't but I figured out what was wrong. It seems I was stuck in "find" mode. Took me a minute but I had to uncheck where it says "clear find". My problem is resolved but i'd still like to know what folder all of these instruments are stored in for fu...

EXS24 Instruments Deleted -- HELP

I can't find any of the Logic Pro stock instruments for the EXS24 instrument aside from the ones I have already used in a project. When I try to search for them via Finder, it seems like they are all gone. I am unable to search for them in the EXS24 interface as shown in the picture, there is pretty...

Re: Variable Arpeggiator

An Arpeggiator normally feeds off the notes played into it so you can't usually specify individual notes in an Arp. You might be thinking of a step-sequencer which does allow you define a value for each step of the sequencer? Some Arps do have step-sequencers built-in which allow to specify pitch o...

Re: Variable Arpeggiator

I am trying to use an arpeggio that starts out slow then speeds up to the highest rate possible throughout the course of a few bars. I find that Logic's arpeggiator is no good for producing what I hear in my head as it does not allow me to directly select the notes of the arpeggio nor does it allow...

Re: Progressivly Degenrating Sound

What you're describing sort of reminds me of the "Erosion" plugin with "Gate" added in Ableton Live. I don't know how do the same thing in Logic. Maybe the sound needs to somehow be modulated with noise.

Re: New Audio Engine Request Logic Pro X

Personally, I love the dark audio engine in Logic. I don't see why you want it changed, it's like fixing something thats clearly NOT broken. If you don't like it just stop using Logic and use one of your other six DAWs.

Track refuses to play, no bypass

There is a track in one of my track stacks that refuses to output any sound, even though there is midi data in the piano roll for the instrument. When I play it on the midi controller, sound is clearly being produced as I can see the wave in the equalizer. The track (fuzz bass) refuses to play no ma...

Re: Violent Oscillations at Loud Volumes

you've pretty-much answered your own question; multiple basses from fundamental waveforms? one way to (possibly) survive this is: compress the hell out of each bass. maybe do some subtle eq rolloff in the mid-bass, so they're not all pushing out a hump in the same frequency range. but... what kind ...
