Re: Adjusting height of mixer elements?

Interesting Topic, but either I am doing something wrong or it doesnt work like facej described. When you change it to exponential the metering changes, but the actual fader stays the same, you still have .5db steps around -30dB etc. (for me the resolution doesn't change AT ALL) Better fader resolut...

Re: Crashing when assigning Smart Controls Topic is solved

BOOM - Ok I said im gonna report if I get it fixed, and I did, with the help of another post on this forum (the forum is truly awesome I gotta say helped me in so many ways, especially with particular not-very-mainstream problems) - this is the link https://www.logicprohelp.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t...

Yes Yes of course I really do know how this works - it just doesn't like it's supposed to for me xD

Re: Crashing when assigning Smart Controls Topic is solved

Tried checking "Control surface follows track selection" in Logic Pro X > Preferences > Control Surfaces ? Have that box ticked also - had a little back and forth with the novation support and they don't seem to be able to help me. Very weird. Also the solo and mute pad's don't change col...

Re: Master channel strip's "D" button?

Oh yeah right the Dim. But you could still move and touch the fader by accident I guess maybe even when using a control surface. That's kind of a thing they could add as well *apple developers* - how about not just a clip time lock but also a track control lock (I know there is one, but it doesn't w...

Re: Crashing when assigning Smart Controls Topic is solved

Yes and I read that, but I assumed (which would be kind of logical as it works that way in Ableton as well), that it switches banks always spilling the next 7 faders after the selected fader right? Didn't get that working so far

Re: Master channel strip's "D" button?

*11 years later* - so the master vca only affects the fader of the stereo output? So with more complex routings things like reverb sends etc. wouldn't be affected right? I've always been very careful not to touch that fader so far

Re: "Free / Empty" Shortcuts / Hotkeys

Yeah dude I know and not everybody needs the same set of features. But I am not asking for specific hotkeys, I am asking for unassigned keys on the actualy keyboard that can be filled with whatever hotkey. I just thought maybe some ppl already looked for the best and easiest which aren't assigned. S...

Re: Crashing when assigning Smart Controls Topic is solved

thank you, David. It's still crashing when I try and assign a pad (your Assigning Pads to Live Loops exercise). I'm on 10.5 and using Launchkey MK3. Do you have any thoughts on how else to deal with this? Once this is fixed I will tell you how much I love your book. Right now I can't focus on that ...

Re: Very Blocky Waveforms

Honestly I still think logic has one of the worst waveform displays of all the daws. Pro Tools or even Ableton have much better ones and I really don't get why they haven't done anything about it yet, should be a relatively easy thing to change right? Anybody got any opinion on this? They have had ...

Re: Split simultaniously played midi notes into individual tracks with only 1 note being played on each instrument track

Mono2Poly drops some stuff, yes. Here's what I came up with, true to my mantra, in the Environment: harm.gif On the left side, we convert Notes to CC's, as Logic prevents Notes from having their Note Offs separated, which is what we need to bump the polyphony counter up and down in the center secti...

Ok you are a genius. It actually works, BUT (kind of a but, it still works though) it doesn't seem to be very responsive and I feel like it doesn't pick up everything I do. Are there any issues with it that you are aware of?

Re: Split simultaniously played midi notes into individual tracks with only 1 note being played on each instrument track

it doesnt work in realtime Which you didn't specify as a requirement. And, speaking of which, neither does Autotune, as its latency is quite high. Yes you are right I should have specified that it's important to be working in realtime. I personally don't think the latency is an issue because you ca...

Re: Split simultaniously played midi notes into individual tracks with only 1 note being played on each instrument track

So I assume you mean you want to use midi to control how multiple instances of auto tune will harmonize each note of the chord, yea? One problem is that scripter runs on instrument tracks not audio tracks. Midi controlled effects such as stutter edit use side chaining for believe in order to get au...
