We talked with two producers from Argentina and both agreed that if we wanted to achieve a higher quality sound (i.e. like a professional record) we should record our instruments ...

Echoes by Pink Floyd: first solo, then I skip the solo jam and the 2001 Odyssey trip sequence and jump right into 1813. I'm not sure I achieved a good sounding version. If you have any advices on how to improve the recording I would really appreciate it. Echoes.zip Fairies Wear Boots by Black Sabbat...

Re: Equalization and Compression Question

1. If my ratio was 4:1 this means only 25% of the signals dynamic range will surpass the threshold. So if I start in -12Db when the gain increases to -8Db the compressor will lower it down to -11Db. The difference with the 2:1 ratio is that a larger portion of the signal will be compressed? Because ...

Re: Equalization Question

Thanks for the help to both of you! I have another question about EQs. I use a Focusrite soundcard to connect my guitar to the Mac. I connect via instrument because I have no pre amp. Re: Equalization Question

Thanks for the great anwer! A lot to digest... I searched a little bit about overtones. I found they are harmonic multiples of the fundamental frequency that determines the pitch.
