Re: How do I persuade Logic to auto-detect the bank names of banks other than zero?

Here's another problem: The multi instruments have a limited name length (I think 15 characters); the names in the Kross are sometimes significantly longer (I've found one with 22 characters). So the names will have to be edited to be clear; otherwise we're ending up with this: Kross Grand Pia Kross...

Re: How do I persuade Logic to auto-detect the bank names of banks other than zero?

It's a Korg Kross I assume; no idea if the different models have different sound sets. It's not completely unlikely that there is already a multi instrument. If there isn't one yet we could try to build one together and make it available for download. Korg usually is quite good in documenting their ...

Re: How do I persuade Logic to auto-detect the bank names of banks other than zero?

Okay, so what you're saying is that Logic actually didn't retrieve the patch names from the instrument itself. (Well, superficially it certainly seemed to.) My guess is that those are just the default "General MIDI" patch names. If you want to build your own multi instrument you first nee...

Re: Organ Sldes chaning my Drawbar settings!

I think we should keep in mind that this is basically a re-implementation of the way the original Hammond organs (like the B-3) worked. They had 61 regular "playing keys" and then another reverse colored octave on the bottom of each manual. Those were not bass notes (like in many transisto...

I whipped something up in the ES-2 with the vector envelope: Is that going in the direction you envision?

I suspect this is a M1 Mac and you're running Logic natively? Try running it under Rosetta.

Re: Bounced midi to audio doesn’t null test?

I'd suggest not using a synth but a sampler for this. A couple of weeks ago I did this with Ultrabeat and the results were weird, to say the least. It depended on where the regions were located in the song relative to the play start. Logic needed around two measures before the regions; then it would...

The green one is a miniature display of the pitch.
The blue one in the background is for Expression (#11) and there's another one for "Foot Control (#4).

It certainly can be done but perhaps not in one single step.
For region automation: Have you tried the list editor?

My USB cable is pretty short right now (perhaps about 30 cm?).
I just re-did the test with LP9 64bit: same results.

Re: Logic Pro 9 Midi Fluctuation

Just to be clear: Those tests were done "MIDI to MIDI" directly from MIDI tracks through the MT4.
I just did another test with an instrument track and the "external instrument" plugin to another instrument track (also through the MT4); here all notes were one tick early.

Source is again left.

9.1.8, 32bit on a 2006 Macbook Pro under 10.6.8; again through a MT4.

Re: Logic Pro 9 Midi Fluctuation

Anyway, here's a simple loopback test on Logic Pro X 10.5.1 with an MT4: Bildschirmfoto 2021-06-24 um 20.28.33.png Left side is source, right side is loopback result. I did a loopback test with a MotU interface recently and it was spot on.
I can do one with an MT4 also if that helps.

Re: Cycling between patches within setlist

This definitely can be done but requires a bit of work. Perhaps there are also other ways to do it - I don't know. It also might making re-arranging things a bit more complicated. You have the global assignment for "Next Patch" on the Concert level. We actually can keep that. What you now ...

More Live Loops weirdness, this time involving the list editor. When opening the list editor when one cell is selected it doesn't show the cell's contents but the cell overview. Not particularly worrisome yet. Bildschirmfoto 2021-05-26 um 22.12.17.jpg Clicking on a note in the piano roll for the cel...
