no matter what. if nothing else its 4 samples (or more) because of A/D conversion. if you are sending it out it goes D/A (some delay) through the unit (depends on unit if it delays or not, analog compressor shouldnt delay), and back through the A/D (some delay). then you have the delay that happens ...

Echo Audiofire8 + Logic Pro 8.0.1 (and 8.0) on 10.5.2 CRASH

im getting kernel panics, few a day, since ive connected AF8, the report says its logic's fault.

im running 10.5.2 on an octo e2008.. :(
this is so annoying!
im guessing it could be the mac pro's fw interface...

any ideas?

i would think its only for the bit depth converters work at, and 32floating is the bit depth internal engine works with, i dont think it makes any sense exporting in 32bit audio since most of the programs have a different way of using that extra 8bits, which would result in incompatibility. i think ...

you have sub and midbass on different tracks? if that is the case, just set Send to "bus X" on the sub track and in the midbass sidechain set input to"bus X" in that case bus X will carry the copy of the signal and feed it to the side chain, so the midbass will duck when sub push...

yeah. no sampler is good enough for classical sampling. it just cant work :S

why do you need it for anyway? Steinberg The Grand2 isnt half bad also. its smaller than for example NI Akkustik but i find it better sounding despite of it.

heh sure in theory 144dB IS all you would need, but what about SNR? but hey, then we'd figure are equipment is too crappy to handle more dynamic range and we'd be stuck on the same. i mean, whats 144dB good for if SNR of a compressor through which you send the singal is 101dB? i mean.. that 144dB is...
