Are you talking about the patches on your XV5050? You can't save the patches in Logic, but you can save the assignement of a patch to a track. Logic knows which patch is assigned to which track in your song, the setting is saved with your song (even if the song is not a project). To assign a patch t...

You need to own an AU (Audio Units) version of the plug-in for it to work on an Apple computer. Place the file in one of the following folders:

/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components/

or

~/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components/

Re: Project Manager

After booting up the copied song, song files, I hear a bit of noise distortion on all the tracks!! Is there something I can do in the Project Manger parameters to solve this? Thanks That is one weird problem. How do you audition your tracks when you are getting the distortion? Do you get the distor...

Now my arrange page and my mixer page will not retain the save commands from one moment to the next. Do you mean that you can't save the zoom level? Maybe your screenset is locked: is there a dot in between the word "Windows" and the number in the main menu? You can click hold on the number and the...

When you select an input for any of your Audio Track, do you only see 8 possible inputs labeled input 1 through 8?

Do you have a selection in Audio > Audio Hardware and Drivers to use "16 inputs or more"? Or maybe in the MOTU cue desk software?

Cool.

By the way, you can even have the same Aux appear on several different layers! So you could, for example, have them in your Audio layer for your "total" audio mixer, and also have a smaller "Aux" layer with only your Aux Channels.

Flexibility!

Uncheck "Larger Disc Buffer", you don't need it on your system.

The system performance doesn't have much to do with your audio interface, but with your computer, RAM and hard drive.

Sure thing. BTW my answer wasn't about the installation process itself, but about the fact that for some interfaces you have to actually launch that little application everytime before you launch Logic in order for the drivers to work. If that is the case you can remedy the "problem" by putting this...

For most work you can do everything in the box nowadays. I've heard mixes done both in Logic and ProTools, all in the box, and they sounded amazing. It's the mixer who makes all the difference. If you mix yourself, you can probably make a 0.5% difference by changing the tools you use, but you will m...

Open the song you downloaded, select the multi-instrument corresponding to your synth, open your Autoload, go to your environment and paste. Make sure to set the correct MIDI port settings.

Hey Pete, I'm not sure you can do that. The reference manual and the plug-in reference manual are both "hard-wired" to the main menu in Logic, but I don't think you can do that for any of the additional help manuals. I mean, there has to be a way, but we're talking code-level, and I can't help you t...

Sure, you can see as many of your Aux or any other channels on as many layers of your environment as you want. You can always go to New > Audio Object, double-click, and in the parameters, set Channel to any of your Aux channels.

Excellent guess by deblogifier. A linear phase EQ will do it, as any mastering plug-in will. Even bypassed.

Cable a transformer somewhere in the chain before you reach the Audio Instrument. For example in the Click and ports layer, somewhere in between the pysical input and the "to recording and trhu" object. In Conditions, set Status to Control. In Operations, set - 1 - to Add, or Sub, and adjust to chan...
