Hi All,

Was there a definitive answer to this problem with the "Save as Default" for 3rd Party plugins being greyed out?

So far I've trashed Logic's .plist files and changed System Preferences for Full Disk Access and Files and Folders with no noticeable difference.

Is there anything else to modify?

Catalina 10.15.7 - Logic Pro 10.6.3

On my Monterey / 10.7.4 System everything is working fine.

Just found an answer in a Facebook group which works for me right now.

"In order to save A default init preset, The preset directory MUST be in UserHome>Library>Audio>Presets>Manufacturer>PluginName (The library directory that is hidden). Not every Developer stores their presets in this folder, some have their own preset handler.  You can create manually the Folders and when you “save as” the preset in this folder and now you can access this option and save the default init preset"

Great, thanks a lot for sharing that solution with us! I appreciate it. 😃

It's a strange problem for sure. Not exactly sure how it turned itself off for one User and works everywhere else.

Were you trying to save the default setting in another location than the one listed?

I had made a folder called 'Acustica Audio' instead of 'Acustica' but when I created a New User profile on the same computer I didn't have to create anything. It's the same on my M1 computer.
