Spatial Audio question

Hi,

I have a strange experience with Spatial Audio. Using my Sennheiser HD 380 Pro headset I feel changes in space when I move an object between front and back, but I can't feel any changes when I move that object between Ear Level and Top. Please find the attached screenshot for my setup.

Do you have any idea, what the problem can be?

Try setting the puck in the center between front, back, left and right. Then adjust the Elevation parameter, it's a subtle change but you should hear it.

Thanks for your answer. I have tried it. Maybe it's my fault, but I don't hear any change in the space...

Maybe it's the nature of the audio track you're working with. Try it with a drummer track?

I have tried it with a drummer kit (Brooklyn), but it's the same, I don't feel any change in space. Do you hear the difference in your setup, David? If yes, would you please share your project file?

Yes, I hear a difference, it's as if adding elevation adds a bit of ambiance, like a short reverb, whereas bring the sound back to ear level is drier, more compact. Try this:

Great, you're welcome. It's a subtle difference but it's there. I'm not 100% convinced that I hear it as elevation either but oh well, it's only a simulation.
