MowingDevil
Logic 10.3.3 on El Capitan, all of a sudden clicking on the EQ in the channel strip or opening an instance through the list of plugins causes the program to crash. This isn't just a corrupt file as it repeats this behaviour with a new project. Any idea whats going on here? It worked fine before.
MowingDevil
Update: Its doing it w/ the Gain utility as well. Makes me think something is up w/ all the stock Logic plugins. Any way to fix this w/o doing a total re-install?
triplets
Trash Logic's preferences.
MowingDevil
I removed the com.apple.logic10.plist preference and restarted. The crashing still persists. Is that the only file or are there others that should be removed?
triplets
If you have controllers connected you can trash the cs preference file. Did you install any new 3rd party stuff lately? How much space left on your system HD?
MowingDevil
I've got EU Control for the (now Avid) Artist Mix unit loaded (not using it at the moment). I"ll try trashing that as well. Can't say I've installed anything lately. I've got over 60gb free on a 500gb drive.
rAC
I have seen posts recommending 20% free space on your disc. Can you trim your disc to get that?
MowingDevil
I can do that but I don't think that will solve this problem. All 3rd party plugins work fine. Why would the ones that come built in cause the program to crash? I ran Disk Warrior on both my drives (I have 2 built in), it rebuilt the directory and cleaned up the files but that didn't help. des99
Does the crash log point to anything in particular?
MowingDevil
Whoops, sorry for the late reply. I checked it out but don't know exactly what to look for there.
