JJHP3
Hello All I have purchased, as well as made my own, IR files. I can't figure out how to make them .SDIR files which sound designer can read. Thanks for any suggestions! John
David Nahmani
You don't need to turn them into .sdir files. Click on "Sampled IR" at the top left of the Space Designer plug-in and you can load your own IRs.
JJHP3
Huh.... scratching head time. thanks for the speedy reply. When I select sampled IR and try and load from my folder of IRs, they are greyed out. They are all .wav files.
David Nahmani
What kind of wav files? I tried with a few .wav file IR I have around here and it works as expected, so perhaps it's the format of those wav file: what bit depth, sample rate, number of channels? JJHP3
The .wavs come in two varieties: both are stereo, both 24 bits, one group is 96k the other 48k. I'll contact the developers and see what they say about it...
David Nahmani
Ok. Meanwhile here's an IR that works, give it a try and see if you can make that one work? It's a guitar cab. OD-R212-V30-DYN-57-P09-00-EQ.wav.zip
Solution JJHP3 Posted June 19, 2021 Author Solution Share Posted June 19, 2021 Public learning is an embarrassing process! For those equally as confused as I was, yes David your offered .wav works fine. As do my IR samples. I was trying to "load" from the wrong menu item in SD. If I use the upper left hand menu, can't load. If I use the lower centered menu, they load fine. Sorry for taking your time... great community here! - John
