Transient editing just lost

Sun Jun 20, 2021 9:28 am

Hi all. I just spent ages editing the transient on some audio. Made sure I saved project as soon as I was done. Logic then crashed but project was saved and all transient editing is gone.
Any ideas anyone.
Thanks.

After the crash, when you opened the project, did Logic ask you will it open autosaved version?

Not sure what you mean by transient editing but normally all transient information is saved within the audio file itself, not the Logic project.

In advanced preferences, do you have destructive audio editing enabled?

Hi. I am editing the transients on the audio file prepping it for sampling. And yes I have audio enabled in additional options which enables
destructive editing i believe.

Oh. And no it did not ask to load an autosaved version.

Ok, in that case Logic opened last save you did. If you are sure that you saved the project after tweaking transients, then your edits must be there.

You did your edits in the file editor, and Transient Editing Mode was enabled? If you mean that markers disappeared, then try what happens if you use the + button in audio file editor, when Transient Editing Mode is enabled.

Then all your transients are embedded inside the audio file itself. Open the audio file in any Logic project, open the Audio File editor, go into Transient editing mode and you should see your transients.
