Software Instruments not playing when swapped

Hi all. I received a session with primarily logic instruments on. When trying to change out the logic instrument with another Logic instrument, no problem.

HOWEVER, when I try and put on a different instrument like Keyscape or Kontakt, it's like logic doesn't even know there's midi there. But when I play on the keyboard. The instrument plays. I've tried copying the midi and pasting it onto a new track and loading the instrument on that channel and still nothing. But when I load a logic instrument it works. and when I play my midi keyboard with the Kontakt instrument on, it works perfectly.

I've NEVER had this issue before. Only since updating to 10.7.1

PLEASE HELP.

I experienced a similar issue with audio. I copied an instance of audio onto a new channel and it just refused to play. No other presets, just a straight copy.

Is anyone else experiencing this and is there a fix or workaround?

It's driving me crazy.

Could be that the midi in that session was recorded to a midi channel other than ch#1. Take a look in the event list for one of the "silent" midi regions ?
