Assign a different cc# to mod wheel?

You could:

1) Program your controller to have the mod wheel send CC#41 (should be easy).

2) Use the Environment (easy but you have to recreate the environment for each new project, or change your template, or import that environment into every existing project, maybe also create a switch to easily switch it on/off, etc...).

3) Use Smart Controls to assign the mod wheel to the desired parameter on your synth (probably the easiest).

Smart Controls is a Logic feature that allows you to map controllers to plug-ins. It's not plug-in specific.

Basically:

1) Open the Smart Controls (press B).

2) Click the i button to the top left of the Smart Controls to open the Smart Controls inspector.

3) In the Parameter Mappings area, click Learn.

4) Click a Smart Control, and in the plug-in, click the desired parameter.

5) Click Learn again to disable the button.

6) In the External Assignment area, click Learn.

7) Click the Smart Control, and wiggle the mod wheel.

8) Click Learn again to disable the button.

Would this also work the same way with a connected expression pedal? If so, would this overwrite a specific clicks n ports setting for the same pedal set in the current template? thx..

To revive this old thread: there seems to be a new layout in 10.4.6. for the transformer in the environment.

Could someone please tell me how to assign the mod wheel to a new cc through the transformer parameters? I don't understand which is the mod wheel - I can only see pitch bend in the list.
