EXS alternative [SOLVED]

Hello,

Is there a way to import many mp3 and wav sounds rather than the regular one off setup procedure for sampled sounds in Logic Pro's EXS24 sampler? Or is there a better method other than EXS24? I also want to be able to audition the sounds and record with a USB Pad controller.

Thanks

Drag and drop all your .wav files to the Tracks area of the main window. Select all those regions and choose Track > Convert Regions to New Sampler Track. Then in the first Trigger Note Range pop-up menu, choose the pitch of the key that'll trigger the first .wav sample. The remaining samples will be mapped chromatically upward from that pitch.

That's strange.

Did you have zone width set to 1?

You can always edit your zones in the EXS24 editor so that they aren't stacked vertically.

If you are using using drum hits you can choose the Drums option instead.

Yes zone to 1.

Looks like the stacking is prob.

Here's how they stackup

selected all tracks.

All regions should be on a single track. You should only select that one track, then convert it to a sampler instrument.

Did you import your regions all to the same track?

yes, with "Create New Tracks" option

"Create New Tracks" imports the regions on different tracks. Instead, choose "Place all files on one track".

You trigger the sound by sending Logic the correct MIDI pitch. For example if you had 3 samples and your chose C1 as the first Trigger Note Range, then your samples would be assigned as follow:

- C1 = 1st sample

- C#1 = 2nd sample

- D1 = 3rd sample

So to play the 3rd sample, you could either press the D1 key on your MIDI controller, or program a pad to send a D1 note to Logic.
