MIDI/USB problems with Logic X and Doepfer Dark Time

Hi, i have got a Doepfer Dark Time sequencer and i cannot get it to control synths in Logic when set to the MIDI/USB setting on the Dark Time. I think, or thought it was just a question of plugging it in and setting it to MIDI/USB syc mode on the DT but i am having no joy.

I can control Logic synths and external synths when DT is in internal mode.

I have spolen to Doepfer and they said it may need to configuring in Logic but they aren't sure as they do not have any knowledge of Logic as a piece of software. They said that Logic needs to be sending MIDI sync to the DT and that Logic needs to be in sync master mode.

If this isn't the standard Logic setting can someone point me in the right direction of how to set it up? Also i have seen some Logic and DT posts in here so if anyone has had similar problems i need your help!!

I don't have a Dark Time.

So you want it to control internal synths and external synths when synced to Logic (set to MIDI/USB, not set to "internal")?

Since it works when set to "internal" and connected thru USB, do you see incoming MIDI messages/notes/cc in Logic's transport bar when set to MIDI/USB?

What happens when you use the MIDI OUT instead of the USB, while in MIDI/USB mode?

Hi

I can't get the Doepfer to trigger notes on a software instrument. I can sync the midi clock but can't get an actual signal for notes to play. 

HELP!!!
