elkogan Posted September 21, 2015 Share Posted September 21, 2015 So I spend a lot of time editing various automation parameters on my summing track/folder (which contains 4 tracks within) AND when I move this summing track audio clip to another position the automation doesn't follow it!! -the automation on other audio clips that aren't in a summing track move with it -my preferences are checked for automation moving along with clips. any clues? It's also possible that the move automation with clip doesn't work on Summing Stacks. I know there are some things that don't work quite the way as it would with Tracks, can't think of what they are right now. simon.a.billington Posted December 7, 2015 Share Posted December 7, 2015 Region automation is attached to each region of audio or midi within logic. Move it around and it all stays grouped together. Track automation applies to the track on the whole. Moving it around becomes more of a pain, but there would be instances where you would want track automation over region. When you switch automation on, Logic presents a button on each track for you to easily switch between the two types. You can easily mix them up as well.
