Frontier AlphaTrack and El Capitan - Workaround

The idea is that SIP must be disabled for the system to recognize the USB driver again. If you reboot into recovery mode by restarting while holding cmd+R, open the Terminal from the Utilities menu and type:

 

csrutil disable; reboot

 

Your mac will restart and the AlphaTrack will be active again.

 

[edit]: So in my case the system was recognizing my previous installation but Logic wasn't working correctly with it. Removing the old installation and then following the instructions in the post linked fixed the issue. Disabling SIP alone might not do it, but the rest of the process outlined should.
