skltr2182
can someone explain why i'm having cpu problems with minimal tracks? here's a picture of what the CPU/HD monitor says during playback. any suggestions on how to fix this would be appreciated. I have a 2.3ghz quad core i7 macbook pro with 16gb ram and flash storage for the HD. i feel like this shouldn't be happening. thanks. triplets
Did you update to Logic 10.2.2?
skltr2182
i just did. same problem. it's plugin related. when i start to bypass plugins it goes down. it's one of the instances of Serum for some reason. not sure why it's causing this? skltr2182
ok so i just downloaded the update and opened a brand new project and loaded one instance of alchemy. cpu is out of control. nothing else is even in this project yet. no plugins or anything. simply just one instance of alchemy. my macbook pro is waaaaay more than equipped to be able to handle this. what's going on? it's just the initial preset for alchemy too! triplets
Create an audio track and select it. That way you're not putting Alchemy into live mode, which eats CPU.
skltr2182
how do i record anything i'm doing in these software instrument tracks if the track isn't selected though? that's fine for playback, but recording is quite the issue because my cpu is out of control.
