Soundhound
When I open a new track, automation is on by default (set to Read). I'd like to have it off by default, more of a clean slate and helps me keep track of which tracks actually do have automation on them (if it's off there's nothing there, for the most part). Ive been looking for a way to control this defeault but haven't found it. Anyone know how to do that?
David Nahmani
There's no way to do that, new tracks have their automation turned on, set to Read. The only workaround would be to create your own template with tracks already pre-created and with automation turned off.
Soundhound
Ok thanks David. I realized there's also creating one track early on and then duplicating it. But it's a minor annoyance. I'll muddle through somehow.
David Nahmani
Ok thanks David. I realized there's also creating one track early on and then duplicating it. That's a great idea. However I can't imagine any situation where it would make any difference wether automation is on or off by default, given that the old behavior was automation off but the instant you created any automation the automation would automatically be turned on.... and before you create any automation... well it really doesn't matter wether it's on or off?
