stormy
When recording a live show, I'm always scared to death of someone accidentally hitting the space bar and stopping the recording. Is there any "safe" mode that can prevent an accidental stop of the recording?

stormy
Thanks! Yes, that should work, but I would need extensive testing before deploying it on a live show. I was hoping there was a native Logic method.
David Nahmani
When recording a live show, I'm always scared to death of someone accidentally hitting the space bar and stopping the recording. Disable the Play/Stop key command: choose Logic Pro X > Key Commands > Edit, press the spacebar, select the spacebar = Play/Stop assignment and press delete on your keyboard. You may want to disable other key commands that could potentially stop playback (such as R for example). Then you can save your new key command set as "Live" so that you can easily switch between your current Key Command set and the "Live" one. And you'll have to use your trackpad to start playback obviously.
stormy
Great idea, David! Any other key commands to watch out for? I guess I should just click on every key while recording to find out
kiotozane
Why dont you just turn on screensaver/lock the screen...?

David Nahmani
Great idea, David! Any other key commands to watch out for? I guess I should just click on every key while recording to find out I would create an empty key command set, and if you need some key commands, add only the ones you need.
