Logic 10.3.1 new track assignment behavior for midi

There seems to be a big change in Logic with regard to midi channels.  Now, you can no longer right-click a track in arrange to re-assign it, and you can no longer add a midi track into the arrange view that refers to a multi-instrument object from the environment.  Can anyone confirm this to be the case?

So the old trick of cabling a multi-instrument to a plugin to make it multi-timbral no longer works.

I am able to reassign a track in the arranger.  Works like it did in previous versions.

That's peculiar.  Right-clicking the grey part of a track for me now does nothing.  Anyone else?

I've found the reason.  right mouse button has to be "opens shortcut menu" in preferences.  I thought that only applies to regions.
